From the sounds of it, this glitch with the saves should rectify itself in about 10 days. The system looks as 3 March without a year, so when it rolls around to 3 March again, it thinks it's the first day you've been playing a game - which is why it says 'Played for 0 days.' When the system reaches its 'Played for 10 days' it changes to hours played, so hopefully the times should return.

I doubt it. It's not counting calendar days is it? The first 10 days are 10 days of playtime, not 10 days since the game was first loaded. If that's true, it's presumably counting hours and the days/hours is just a difference in how the information is presented to the user. Quite why they decided to present it like that is beyond me, but then it looks like the work experience student programmed this bit.

How does anyone keep track of the download only games on Switch?

My impression is that there are hundreds of them and I have no idea how to locate what I will like. Its not like walking into Game and seeing the games on the shelf and picking them up to get an idea of what a game is about. Even worse, how do I know a game even exists?

Is there a dedicated podcast or website?

You could start with the eshop thread on here

@VN1X Not a huge deal, but I hope the OS doesn’t have any more of these bugs as they could be much worse.

It's one of my favourite features on Steam and was happy to see the same, albeit less accurate, tracking on Switch as well.

...Only for Nintendo to once again pull the rug from under my feet. :(

The weekly Nintendo Download posts on Nintendolife are the best place to start.

Presumably this doesn't affect all accounts then? I got my Switch day one and all play times are still there. My mate got his for Christmas and all play times are still there.

Zelda has been wiped on mine. Everything else is still there. Zelda is the only game I played at launch.

Finally picked up Celeste a few days ago, having been put off a little as I am increasingly tired of/turned off by that 8-bit/pixelart aesthetic, but under the hood it is AN absolutely fantastic slice of high stress platforming and is as essential as any Switch 'indie' title. It is quite (very) hard though and really benefits from a Pro Controller...

I really am feeling the same about this, now. I know that "graphics don't matter", but it's overkill at this stage.  I'm actually stopping trailers a few seconds in because of it, and I think it's costing some games sales from the very people who would otherwise actually give them a chance. Some hate this stuff regardless and will never give them a chance, but when people like us are starting to lose patience with it, something should probably change.

OK, I've posted about my left joycon woes before but we're going to have to go through this again because the problem is not letting up. I'd like rllmuk's help.

First, can some of you guys check yours for me? When in undocked mode with the joycons attached to the sides, go into Settings, Controllers and Sensors, Calibrate Control Sticks, and push down the left analogue stick to select it, then try pushing the left stick about and letting it go. Does the on-screen cursor snap back to the centre of the circle every time you let the stick go? Because mine doesn't. It jitters about and lags and slowly makes its way back to the centre, particularly after I've pushed the stick to the left and let go. Something is clearly wrong, and this explains why characters I'm controlling in games keep running leftwards of their own accord. The right analogue stick, on the other hand, appears to work perfectly - the cursor snaps back to the centre instantly every time.

Second, what do I do about this? How do I get in contact with Nintendo? Do they send me a new joycon or do they insist on me sending mine in for repair?

Been playing Steamworld Dig atm and loving it. Think its quite a short game, so was looking in purchasing the sequel but cost is quite steep and not sure. How does this compare to the first one, worth that price for the sequel which I assume its a short game to?

Has anyone played the Steamworld Heist game? Seems turned based, but can't work out how heavy it is, not a massive fan of the genre but reviews have been great and seems like it might be player friendly.

Dig 2 is much bigger and better than the first game. I think maybe 8-9 hours, rather than 3-4 of the first game.

Heist is bloody awesome and not "heavy" at all. You really need to play it.

No idea how genuine this is, or even how long the footage will be available for, and even if I want it at all, but ...

Ports I would like

Jet set radio

Vanquish

Hotline Miami

Daytona/Outrun coast to coast

Metal gear twin snakes

Resident evil 1 and 4

None are likely to happen why port MvC3 was infinite that bad ?

Heist is turn based but it is more like Worms than Xcom. It is very good and I should finish it one of these days...

Happens on both of mine. Day one pair and the illuminous yellow ones. Notice it in Mario Kart a lot.

Havent got round to sorting yet.

It's getting to the point where it's disrupting my use of the system. It's like a ghost is haunting my Switch and is obsessed with making phantom leftward presses of the left stick. I walked through a door in Axiom Verge and when the new room loaded my character turned round and walked back through the door. And I was watching a trailer on the eshop earlier and it started rewinding itself!

@grounded_dreams FWIW I love Dig 1 and 2 but found Heist is a chore as you get to the middle/later levels as they’re randomly generated and can be easy or a joyless mess. Might revisit it one day, but I think I had my fill after around 3 hours.

Randomly generated? Eh?

I've put 25 hours in and never noticed!

I've had my joycons on and off at the absolute most 15 times, I'd actually say it's more like ten but to be absolutely fair, I'll go higher.

The left joycon doesn't lock into place anymore. Anyone else had this? I assume if I contact Nintendo they'll ask me to post it off for a 3 week round trip?

The turnaround on my joycon repair with Nintendo was pretty quick and painless. Maybe 7-10 days including the weekend. I did have a Pro Controller to use in the meantime though, and rarely use handheld mode except on trips.

Sounds exactly like the problem I had.

Go here:

https://nintendoservicecentre.co.uk

Select Switch, Other Problems, Book Repair.

Tick "I only wish to send an accessory", select the joycon you're having an issue with from the list, and press Continue.

Fill out the form, explain that your analogue stick has issues and that you've already tried recalibrating it.

Some time after submitting, they'll email you a postage label, stick that on a box containing your joycon and printed proof of postage, take it to a post office.

They'll send you emails when they receive it, when they start a repair, and when they send it back. It sounds like they actually fix the broken part rather than send a replacement, so be prepared for a wait. They had mine for nearly a month, but they ran out of parts and had to get more so it took longer in my case.

Thanks! I'll get on it.

Those of you who've had your joycon repaired - does it work without issues now?
