Yep, to check my hours on DQB I had to dig into the save files memory and delete the save games for demos etc. Scary stuff. But any new games and I’m stuffed for checking hours played until we have some kind of save back ups, or they expand the available space.

Did that work for you? I've just tried it with no luck.

To celebrate Switch’s anniversary and Nintendo screwing up everyone’s profile at midnight, I’ve compiled my top ten most played Switch games of Year One so I can remember all the hours that are about to be wiped.

  1. Splatoon 2 - 135h
  2. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - 105h
  3. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - 100h
  4. Stardew Valley - 55h
  5. Mario Kart 8D - 50h
  6. Super Mario Odyssey - 50h
  7. Rocket League - 45h
  8. Arms - 30h
  9. Golf Story - 20h
  10. Mario+Rabbids - 20h

I can't say I'm too concerned with new releases. 2017 was so good I'll be playing catch up for most of the year.

A really good point and they are all games that demand time. I really need to get back into Splatoon 2 and Mario plus Rabbids has a lot of life left in it.

The lull will enable me to revisit my neglected playstation VR too. There's a few games on there I need to catch up on.

It's a whole different scenario to when the N64 was my only console.

Scribblenauts Showdown - Maybe for a fiver

Kirby Star Allies - Demo was rubbish

Outlast 2 - Maybe if there’s nothing else to play

Labo - Fo sho

Dark Souls - Ain’t my thing

Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze - God no, the WiiU game was the most overhyped piece of crap going

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle - What the hell is this?

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary - I’ve already bought SF a million times so it’s a no

HYRULE WARRIORS - Nah, musou games are shite, they barely qualify as interactive

Mario Tennis Aces - Probably will

SNK Heroines - Nope

Shovel Knight: King of Cards - Had my fill of 2d old stuff for now

Wargroove - Never heard of it

That’s a really depressing list. When is Yoshi out? That looks good.

The third best game of all time is being released on the Switch and that's "really depressing"?

Yoshi is later in 2018. Wargroove is Advance Wars in slightly different clothes. These are just those we know for sure are in the first half of the year. Which has already included Celeste, Dragon Quest Builders, Super Meat Boy, Pac-man CE2, Payday 2 and Bayonetta 1&2.

There's new Fire Emblem Warriors DLC to come too. Oh, and:

Bloodstained

Hollow Knight

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope

Dragon Quest XI

Fire Emblem (not Warriors - a "proper" one)

Mini Metro

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero

Mega Man Legacy Collection 1&2

Mega Man 11

Shining Resonance Refrain

ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove

Travis Strikes Again

And that's before we pay attention to unknown indies.

Has anyone had their switch not wake up before. Mine looked like the screen was on but only showing a blank/black screen. THe backlight was on though. It wouldn’t wake ion when handhelds or docked.

In the end i had to do a hard reset.

Has anybody tried out the drumming game that just came out in Japan. It's called Gal Metal. It looks cool.

Whenever I hold the Joycons separately I always start air-drumming. This might be the drum game I need.

No but I am really curious as well, might have a punt on it

Where did you purchase the credit?

G2A for my shame. One of the sellers had 1000 yen for £6.88.

Japancodesupply, Play Asia, Offgamers, seagm are other options.

@VN1X Not a huge deal, but I hope the OS doesn’t have any more of these bugs as they could be much worse.

It doesn't sound like a bug. It sounds like they only report each game for a year. They do the same on the 3DS, but then show you each year separately.

its a shame if they don't patch back in the total playtimes for everything, can't take up much memory to store it.

not something I'd get internet angry about, and ignoring the whole single point of failure and no cloud backups issue, I loved the idea of having everything on the switch digital and it storing my play times for everything all in one clean tidy OS, really appealed to my sense of OCD and tidiness.
