I guess Payday does not have it?

No.

It's a decent game. Sort of. The heists are very procedural though. Set a drill running and then defend your position, then take whatever you get from the thing you're trying to open. Missions take too long for multiplayer.

Reminds me of those filler bits in call of duty where you haver to defend a position till a timer runs out.

This console continues to amaze... I was sitting in the cafe at the climbing centre this morning while the wee man did his class... noise cancelling headphones on and playing Doom and Skyrim and just genuinely having a ball. Two hours just flew by ...

If you judge a games console by its fundamental ability to let you, you know, play great games, then this is by FAR the best of the many consoles I’ve owned.

I’ve put more hours into playing on the Switch in 11 months than in the previous 5 years on PS4/Xbox One added together. And none of it was while travelling. 90% undocked couch play while the other half watches the telly.

Utterly transformational to my gameplaying life, and I have almost zero interest in playing on any other platform.

Across three accounts, I've got 110 digital games. I've had to remove my card details so I have to physically enter them if I really want to buy something. When VC does eventually come out in whatever form, I'm fucked. I just sold my Wii U, 3DS, XB1S and XB1X, though, to balance out my guilt and slightly restore my bank balance.

There are 110 Switch games?

I own all of Mario, Mario Kart and Zelda.

I've got about 60 games in total now on my Switch. I'm actually getting rid of my PS4 because it hasn't been switched on in months. The Switch fills my lifestyle far easier and I'm completing far more games on it than I've done on any of the main consoles in years.

Cheers, dude. That's my plan, as well as just writing off a shit load. As I say, I flogged a bunch of consoles and a sizeable backlog on the One X.

The other thing is that a lot of Switch games are either multiplayer stuff or arcade type. I'll never complete the single player on the Neo Geo fighters, for example, because I just play them in local MP. I'll never complete the SP stuff on MK8D or ARMS or Splatoon, for example. I'll put 100hrs into MP, though.

In terms of narrative type games, or games with a definite end that I'm interested in completing, there are probably only thirty or so. I've hardly bought anything so far this year so I'll just be enjoying what I've got, for the most part.

Payday 2 is not for me, there’s probably a decent game there if you like that sort of thing but it looks (and plays) like a mobile game with better controls for the most part.

Missions take too long and lack of voice chat means trying to co-ordinate with your team (mainly telling them it’s time to escape) is all but impossible. I’m sure there are many different settings and scenarios but they all play the same. Set up a drill and defend the area whilst cops swarm in.

In another time I may have stuck with it but my gaming resolution is not to play games for the sake of it but just ones I enjoy. Gave up the very different assassins creed origins for the same reason.

I knew when I opened the box and there was no reversible inlay that this wouldn’t be for me.

All you need isn't it?

Still not got one, though I've come close to hitting buy a few times now.

ARMS is the best new fighting game in a long, long time.

Splatoon 2 is fun for pretty much forever.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a fantastic atmospheric JRPG, with some reservations.

Where it really shines though for me is playing indies and A/AA/AAA games in handheld. Bayonetta 2, Isaac, Celeste, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Skyrim, Doom, Garou: MOTW, Rocket League, Stardew Valley, Rayman Legends, USF2, Super Meat Boy, Oxenfree, FIFA, KoF98, The End Is Nigh, Shantae, Shovel Knight, Gungeon, Owlboy, Disgaea 5, Bleed, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Minecraft, Strikers 1945, Sonic Mania, The Last Blade, Thumper, Cave Story+, Monster Hunter XX, Blazing Star. I own or have played probably half of these elsewhere but would never play them anywhere but the Switch now.

You can tap 'r' when pointing at a team-mate when waiting in the escape zone and your character calls out to them to get to exit.

Usually you'll get all those waiting calling the last guy so you can escape.

Oh teah, you can tap it many many times and people ignore it, as I’ve found out. Either because they don’t understand or don’t care.
