Did you power cycle the joy-con itself using the little power button on it?

Nope have to start again. It didn't recognise the demo data on my switch.

I held it down, but from looking at videos people just do a quick press. I thought that was the sync button, TBH. I'll try again when I get home, cheers.

You’ll blitz through that opening bit in under an hour. And then it just opens out magnificently.

 

Done about 8 hours and my village is unrecognisable from where it was at the end of the demo. The other early islands you visit are brilliant too.

 

This is pretty much my dream game. :wub:

And me, if anyone's on the fence Its really lovely. My Mrs said what's it like, the best way I described it was get a pot, put in a pinch of Zelda and a bit of Minecraft and a tiny sprinkling of Animal Crossing. Can see me losing myself in this for a good while

This place has gone Bovril potty recently. What with the Cap's Bovril thread in Health & Fitness flying out of control, and now the Switch thread turning into the Bovril thread mk2. Crazy days on 'muk.

 

I saw a neon Switch in the flesh (plastic) for the first time in CEX last week. Didn't like it. Vulgar. Grey is correct.

The grey joycons are the spiritual successor to the black Gamecube, which always looked to me like a sullen teenager had painted the gloriously purple console black in the hope that his Playstation owning mates wouldn't laugh at him. Never be ashamed of what you are, Nintendo fans.
