So I find myself thinking about getting a switch.  Any decent offers on atm or just go with amazon for the service?  Thinking about getting Zelda, Mario and Mario Kart to start with.

Be sure to check www.nintendo.co.uk as well.  They offer a 2 year guarantee on all hardware when buying direct and their prices tend to be good. I got a 3DS from them, ordered after 9pm and arrived next day via DPD.

According to a hotukdeals post yesterday some Asda stores are selling them for £209. I suspect only a few stores do it, but I think there may be a way to check online.

One ASDA store...you don't need to wait for a special deal on switch. The deal is you pay £280 and you get an amazing console. It feels like a steal anyway.

I need to be persuaded as to why I should buy this game as I will only be able to play it when the child has gone to bed. Why does it score so highly? Usually games that have this kind of gratuity are rubbish. Why is Bayonetta great? Sell it to me

Bayonetta is God Hand 2. It's Devil May Cry without the emo plus God of War without the macho multiplied by Darksiders without the slomo. It's absolutely the pinnacle of 'Stylish action', and the overt nature of the heroine isn't anything at all to do with what makes it amazing, but it definitely helps with the fun of it all. The opening sequence alone is as breathtaking as anything you've ever played before, and would be the climax of most games.

Does anybody know where I can get an official dock from? I want a second one for the bedroom but everywhere is out of stock. I have tweeted Nintendo asking about them, and they have just ignored me :/ Cheers

Not sure if you're not aware of them but might one of these suit: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B076H2DXP3/ref=twister_B076Z9KRRQ?_encoding=UTF8&th=1 ?

If not then the other day I saw that the game collection are selling the Nintendo ones just bellow £65: https://www.thegamecollection.net/nintendo-switch-dock-set/?utm_medium=ppc&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_campaign=froogle&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzJiF9Jub2QIVjpTtCh2phwD7EAYYAiABEgIfyPD_BwE :).

Dandara is weird, tough, engrossing and really bloody good. It's old school Metroid. Strange, lonely environments to explore for upgrades and new abilities which unlock paths in previous areas. No waypoint markers or hints - just a bunch of interconnected areas to explore as you please. Traversal is entirely walljumping - you can't walk or run (hence weird) - and is a little frustrating early on until you get used to it and start to zip about like it's nothing. It also has a Souls-esque levelling mechanic where you collect salt/souls from enemies to upgrade your abilities at campsites/bonfires and lose all your salt/souls if you die, with one chance to make your way back and retrieve them. In a week that has included Shadow of the Colossus, Rime and Monster Hunter World, Dandara is all I want to keep playing right now.

Doesn't appear to be getting much attention though. Maybe Metroidvania fatigue has set in? I might start a thread for it once I've finished.

Just popped in to say Dragon Quest Builders is amazing. Looks gorgeous, very well written, funny and sweet. And the story-driven/crafting/exploring mash-up is perfectly pitched, and as addictive as fudge-flavoured crack. Get it!

Completely agree. Played a good few hours of it today. Good port, fast save and load times, works great docked and undocked. Very charming.

I'm not a fan of Minecraft, but loving this. Nice game to play after the many hours I spent in Stardew Valley.
