Is this real? Seems to be from early last year. But if this is real that would be incredible.

It deffo was/is real - although I suspect it'll be taken down pretty sharpish now it's been uncovered. As Bojangle just mentioned, some folks are speculating that the 'Unannounced IP (First Person Shooter/Adventure) is Prime 4....

Think it was this guy that first broke it:

Gungeon is brilliant. I also bought SFR and only played an hour or two so far. I quite like it but not sure I'm totally on board with the shmup+grind idea. Interested to see hear what you think.

Played for ten mins b4 I had to go out. Seems good. Looking forward to playing more, not to up on Rogue likes.

Irony? That's how the entire Prime series began.

I know, but apart the Souls games Bandai Namco are not exactly a company I see as synonymous with quality or who cause me to get excited when I see their name attached to something. I'm sure Nintendo will have a fair degree of oversight but I'm sure they did for Other M too.

Also Tanabe seems to be the main producer attached to the title and his recent record is pretty shit. However, I will obviously be hoping that they are able to pull a Retro.

Oh.

Right.

I doubt we're getting something like Other M. As long as they keep Sakamoto far, far away.

Other M and Fusion were cut from the same cloth for me. In place of freedom and exploration, orders and restrictions. Not my idea of a Metroid game.

TBH, I found Prime 3 a bit too busy and never finished it - too many other characters talking to me. Felt like it wanted to be Halo/Half Life. I want to be alone, exploring a hostile/wonderful alien environment. Loved Prime 1 & 2, and rinsed them.

Other M was awesome you fools.

Apart from the cut scenes. Oh god those cutscenes.

Other M was actually pretty good - there was a strong core there that they could have worked from. Just the cutscenes and those 'find the pixel' bits really let it down. I thought it was much better than some of the reviews it got - it was harshly treated.

Oh man, the longer it went on the better it got - you missed out. It became more and more like a 'lonely' Metroid game as you went on. I loved 3 much more than 2.

TBH, I didn't like the 'mote controls either. I seem to be in a minority of one, but I much preferred the pad + lock-on mechanics to free-aiming. Avoided the Prime Trilogy re-release as a result.

You knew you could toggle the lock-on on didn't you? Didn't have to be total free-aiming, there were a few set-ups available.

I love Prime 3, SkyTown was awesome.

3 was awesome, the controls were brilliant too, really felt like an extension of Samus' suit. I can't wait for 4.

I loved 3. It has a really bumpy beginning, story-wise, which just so happens to coincide with you wrestling with the controls too.

That it gets good later is great for the 10% who could be arsed pushing on, but for the 90% who didn't that's on Retro, not you.

It's a game that deserves a remake, definitely in VR.

Also it gave us this gif so it deserves an Edge 6 at least:

There's something tactilely pleasurable about the ergonomics of the Switch and the way it feels in your hands, especially the protrusions at the back of each shoulder. I keep readjusting my hands and kind of rubbing the side of each of my middle fingers behind the triggers as I'm playing. It's quite fucked up.
