Loving this. It's so slick and well made. The hardware feels spot on. Except for that kick stand. And I love the sound effects.

Not even started Mario yet, or plugged it into a TV.

Mario looks incredible on a TV.

Anyone played Sky Force Reloaded? The video on the eShop looks pretty decent for £9.

I’ve not played it on a switch but I have on my iPhone and it plays (and in particular controls) really well, in-fact it’s probably my most played iPhone game. If you’ve got an iOS / Android device maybe give it a go on there first where it’s free.

Something is really, really wrong with my left joycon. I posted about it earlier in the thread but no one else indicated they were experiencing it. The left analogue stick constantly thinks it's being pushed to the left when I'm not touching it. I'm in the recalibration tool now, and the cursor is spasming about as though I'm ever so slightly moving the analogue stick. I was under the impression the left joycon only had issues when it was detached, but my joycons are permanently attached to my Switch.

Playing Skyrim undocked, my character spontaneously strafes left. Playing Super Mario Odyssey, Mario keeps running to the left every few minutes without me doing anything, rendering a platformer unplayable. Is this really only affecting me? I hadn't noticed it until fairly recently because I've done most of my gaming either with the pro controller on the TV or just the d-pad buttons in handheld mode.

Where did you get the Switch from? I bought from my local branch of Game (yeah I know) and was having problems with one of the buttons on my right joycon (plus button). I took it back today and game were happy swap out just the joycons.

Amazon, I think. I reset the calibration to factory settings and it seems to have stopped doing it. I'll monitor it.

What is Celeste like? Looks pretty difficult from the vids I’ve seen.

There’s a thread about it. Pop in and have a look :)

In short, it’s a wonderful 2D platformer. It’s tough, but it’s split into tiny chunks and restarts are instant.

It really is a lovely piece of kit. Agree on the kickstand it could have done with one on both sides or a bigger one more central to keep it balanced better.

Other minor niggle is with analogue sticks on the joy-cons. Not sure why they seemed to have taken a step back...Nintendo did an amazing job in the past with the analogue sticks.... they used to have a little cuff around the stick with notches to give better directional control... the N64 had it when Nintendo introduced the analogue stick back into console gaming...  even the nunchuck on the Wii had it! Think they took it out on the WiiU pad. Shame it was great and I'm missing it on Mario right now....

Guys if any of you have put off getting a Pro Controller the lovely looking Splatoon 2 Pro Controller is down to £50 at Amazon at the mo, I'm half tempted to get another one, but I have no friends and play on my own so it would be ultimately pointless...

I repaired all 4 of my joy con buckles, only 3 were broken but it only takes 5 minutes each one and the new ones are metal, so should hopefully last a lot longer.

The ones I bought came with the required screwdrivers and it's only 6 screws per joy con.

I don't suppose theirs a video or something to show how to do it? I've bought a cheap chinese set off ebay that need fitting (likewise, came with Screwdrivers etc)
