Then encrypt them. It isn't hard. You can put PS4 and Xbox 360 saves on USB drives, so it's no different.

EDIT: In fact, my Vita saves are already backed up to Google Drive in a roundabout way.

I just want cloud saves like the other consoles do.

Sure, but this would be piss-easy to implement and require no cost to Nintendo. And would be cloud saves.

My Nintendo account is already associated with my Google account for other stuff anyway.

I have Zelda & Mario Kart on the Wii U, is there much point getting a Switch yet other than Mario Odyssey?  There's no Miiverse or similar is there?

No Miiverse. If you're not tempted by Odyssey or other games I'd leave it until there's something you're more interested in.

I want to play Odyssey but can’t justify getting the machine just for that.  I thought the Miiverse was uninverally praised as one of the best things about the WiiU, seems strange that they use dropped the idea completely.

The Wii U doesn't have MiiVerse either any more.

EDIT: oh, you said.

Any word on a release date for Moonlighter or Constructor ?

I'm pretty much done with Stardew Valley for now so I need something to fill the void. I like the look of Celeste but it looks too difficult for me, I'm tempted by Vostok Inc

Vostok, Vostok, Vostok... (because I directly profit from you buying it!)

I bought a switch just for Mario Odyssey in October, and now I have Zelda, Mario Kart 8, Arms, Mario & Rabbids, Snipper Clips, Stardew Valley, Rocket League, Enter the Gungeon, Steamworld Dig 2 and Super Beat Sports. ( Oh, and I also had a Wii u and played Zelda and MK8 to death)

It is probably my favorite console ever, and this is coming from someone who loves his PS4.

Picked a Switch up and Mario Odyssey last Friday (£269 new with Odyssey which I think  was a good price?!).. impressed so far.... great how it all seamlessly works between docked/undocked modes. Mario is sublime and cant wait to get hold of Zelda at some point (determined not to have a backlog of games on this machine!).

More I use the switch more I enjoy it. Think this matches the way I want to play games perfectly these days... although do find the screen a touch small at times when playing Mario in undocked mode.....

What is The Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya? This is a popular romance game for women.

A closed island where baby boys are not born. A unique culture that is completely different from the mainland has been flourishing on the island. In the middle of the island, there is a district where men are gathered. Some women just want children. Others are looking for love.

Knowingly deceived by a lie, and deceived in return, all in a single night's dream. At the end, to whom is it that you will be talking of love?

Do buy the Pro controller though, especially for longer telly sessions and especially especially if you have big hands.

Speaking as someone with small hands, split joy-cons (no sliders attached) is probably the most comfortable controller ever. Instead of buying a Pro Controller, I got a second set of joy-cons - that way I don't have to keep taking them on/off the switch, and there's always one set charging while attached to the switch. Good for 4P Mario Kart, too.

Every now and then I'm tempted by a Pro Controller, but that's just because I like buying things.

Just picked up Zelda dammit...can't have Ninty console without Mario and Zelda if they are out!!!  Half way though Mario anyway and having Zelda too is hardly a big backlog :D Really looking forward to Zelda.... and the fact I can now play it wherever I like and when someone else is using the main screen in the lounge.... :)
