MidWalian
Nintendo's Third Quarter results are out, Switch has now shipped 14.86 million units. It has outsold the Wii U in less than a year. Other big figures are in the rllmuk sales thread. Also, Hollow Knight is coming along. Developer making sure it hits a smooth 60fps.

Docked is smooth most of the time but undocked i can see the frame drops, especially when driving it's not very smooth but it's playable. As it's not as hard as something like GTa it doesn't affect the game too much. Fun game too!

CovisGod
I'm looking for a good slow paced game for playing in bed, my go to game was Stardew but I'm pretty much done with that, just want something that doesn't require my brain to be fully functioning like Splatoon or Rocket League, something that doesn't require button mashing etc. Any suggestions? Strafe
Got back into Rime. After the juddery first chapter, frame rates, textures and resolution take a further dive in chapter two (the bird) and generally dark and muddy (underground bit). Very, very occasionally it must dip into single figures. Then you get to chapter 4 which is set at night in the rain and they use this rain effect on all the scenery that looks great, combined with a host of NPC characters roaming around. You'd think at this point - quite reasonably - that the engine is pushing the switch so hard that ISIS would board planes carrying them. BUT NO. The frame rare jumps up and resolution looks pin(ish) sharp on handheld mode. WTF. It's at night so I wondered if the absence of cloud filled skyboxes were the cause but I have no idea. I nearly gave up playing it because it was like watching a pirated Life of Pi on a first gen iPad at one point. IDGI

Big patch on the way to fix performance issues, although it might be bigger than Nintendo's limit (which I think it what led to the silly-buggers around that NBA Jam knock-off).

I think I'll stop playing it and wait to see what happens with the patch. It's such a shame, it's such a charming and beautiful game and - whilst I know it's a different engine, 3rd party and all that - it's not doing anything that Zelda isn't to my eyes. Stanley
I've become totally absorbed by Minecraft. I've been playing since launch on Switch but only recently have I really spent a lot of time on it. Between that and Gungeon nothing else is getting a look in.
