I have to be honest @parrapatheslapper I have never really played the dark souls games ^_^ Maybe it's the time to finally give them a proper go?

You have probably played about the same as me (although I have put a bit more time into Bloodborne) The fact I can play portable means I may actually persevere with it!

No mario, Zelda or splatoon this year though - in fact what are the big releases this year? Looks pretty barren to me, other than an avalanche of indie games.

That we know about:

Mario Tennis

Octopath Traveller

Kirby

Yoshi

Fire Emblem

Labo

That we don't but are highly anticipated/likely:

Smash Bros

Animal Crossing

Pokemon

Metroid Prime 4?

Ports:

Wolfenstein II

Tropical Freeze

Dark Souls

Hyrule Warriors

Worth bearing in mind that it's not yet been out a year and those who haven't bought a Switch still have Mario, Zelda, Splatoon etc. too to entice them. It's not like everyone who is planning on getting one bought it straight away.

I think it's looking pretty good personally and would be surprised if healthy sales don't continue.

I'm expecting them to tease Animal Crossing at E3, but it won't be out until next year at the earliest.  I reckon we might see a 'Deluxe' version of the Wii U's Smash Bros at some point this year.

I’m wondering if Animal Crossing will get a gimmick/accessory/peripheral of some sort connected to it. I can imagine Nintendo wanting to just make New Leaf again but with nicer graphics, and the hybrid nature of Switch could be used with imaginative effect.

Labo shovel, fishing rod, watering can, etc kits. £7.99 each.

Just got on my train home and the guy who sat down next to me just bust his neon switch out and is playing Rabbids.

Now I feel weird about getting mine out.

Same train, tonight there’s a different guy sat in front of me playing Xenoblade on his grey switch!

Nintendo have hired the guy who made Downwell, which is nice. He made a fantastic little game, so it'll be interesting to see what he ends up working there.

He'll be handing out Labo leaflets at E3.

I was listening to this week's C&R and didn't realise that Bleed had already come out on the Switch. By sheer coincidence, I heard Jon Denton talking about it the other day on an old podcast (I think, can't recall) and it sounded great, so was on my radar. Anyway, I picked it up this evening and put an hour into it. Absolute quality little run and gun twin stick kinda thing, lovely triple jump/dash movement plus 'witch time' type of mechanic. It's not really a shmup, nor a traditional twin stick shooter, nor a pure platformer but it borrows plenty from each and so it feels familiar. A smashing little collection of parts, neatly stitched together. It feels good in the same way that, say, Slime-san feels good. Just rock solid feel to it. Level design is nowt special but there's plenty of action and pretty interesting bosses. It seems very replayable, just because it's inherently fun. I recommend.

Yes, I can remember hearing about it on the old “Chet and Jon...” podcast as an Xbox live arcade game and buying it then. Really cool little game.

‘People most likely to respond to a Nintendo Internet survey (U.S.)’

What a waste of a nice pastel graph.

Surely NIntendo would be better just collecting data of profiles on the consoles. Most put gender and age accurately probably.

True dat. Also occurs to me that it'd be dads who bought the console, and who'd be sorting out the online stuff like the store account.

I can't fail to see the irony in a forum full of 40 year old male Switch fans heartily agreeing with each other that they are not the main Switch demographic.

The question they asked I guess tried to cover the fact that it is likely to be the purchaser / account setter-upper who is answering the survey by asking who in the household most wanted the Switch. For me, it was for my 7 year olds Xmas present, but I wouldn't entirely be lying if I said it was for me ;-)

Looks like Atari wants Roller Coaster Tycoon to come to the Switch. They have a crowd campaign to get the game to the switch...

So, $750 tier gets you 25% off purchase price when the game releases? LOL.

It seems like it would be just a port of the already existing mobile game so why not just do it, surely it's not that much of a punt?!
