Xbox One backwards compatibility - sales until the heat death of the universe

Ninja Gaiden 2 should really go on sale sometime. Been waiting a good year and more since I got my X, and it'd save me having the disk permanently embedded in the machine.

Aside from the obvious Binary Domain / Asura's Wrath rec, and Peace Walker's a good one too, everyone seems to forget how awesome Hard Corps: Uprising is.

Playing this back, a bit more screaming than I remembered, but great stuff for Contra fans.

Just bought it. You can turn the screams off in the audio options. What were they thinking.  Proper fun game though.

Revengeance is worth every penny

Force unleashed games are proper shit. I remember them being good when I was younger, replayed them this year, I'm sure number two consists of like three levels.

I really liked the Force Unleashed games. Fallen Order went on to do a similar idea better but they are still worth playing.

The second one really is ridiculously short though it’s true. It’s basically DLC

I found my Ridge Racer 6 disc, I bought some music packs back in 06 for this. How do you access them on a Series X?

Go to the icon for RR6, press menu, then A on manage game and add ons, A on Ridge Racer 6, Manage Installation on whatever then you should see the add on list, then you should be able to tick them to install them.

As relatively expensive as it looks, I think that's as cheap as Lost Odyssey ever gets

They gave it away free ages ago, not even Games with Gold, just straight up free. Pretty sure it#s cjheaper than that on disc, I might have a set thats missing disc 1, as it's a multi disc game though, will it grant you a license with one of the other discs?

Hard Corps Uprising is fantastic.  I'm absolutely hooked.  If you don't know (and I didn't) this is Contra is all but name. 2d side scrolling, even the music is the same, although it's a Heavy Metal cover version.

The game is great in Arcade Mode. But Uprising mode takes it to a new level with Castlevania style character power ups.  Earn money by playing, spend money levelling up your character with permanent upgrades.

How this game passed me.by for all this time is a mystery.  It's like Konami have been doing these awful Contra games, but this one is the purest Contra game since the SNES and they call it Hard Corps Uprising so you won't know.

DLC doesn’t show :(

I can see it on my 360 in my purchased list, which took about an hour of scrolling to find, but alas won’t show on my Series X.

Does it show any of the free DLC cars in the add ons? I don't remember buying anything for it but I've got a shitload of cars for it.

The only other thing I can think of is that there's some license fuckery abound and you might need to load up an Xbox 360 with the disc in to make it work. I could be wrong, I can't remember how its supposed to work exactly.

Glad to be of service (or at least the timing's close enough that I can pretend I was?). I also remember Sayuri being a very cool addition as well, like playing as Baiken from Guilty Gear in a Contra game.

Come to think of it, Krystal's been my Xbox Avatar a long, long time now. Anime eyepatches FTW.

On a related note, I've been replaying Dragon Age for the first time since it came out (on the One X via BC), and it's aged fantastically well.

It was never much of a looker, but it's so good playing something from when Bioware was still at the top of its game.

Jade Empire has a nice upscale on it. Think it's 4k as anything less tends to look mushy on my cheap monitor. Shame there is no widescreen option though.

I got it running and looking better on PC but the pad controls just feel off on it. I'm away and running on the xbox now.
