Xbox One backwards compatibility - sales until the heat death of the universe

Recommended Posts

Same res as the originals were..

Improvements come with v-synch being enforced, removing screen tear..

The only way you'd get improved resolution would be if a 360 game lowered resolution dynamically to maintain framerate, but it still wouldn't go above the max res it ran on 360 (almost certainly 720p.)

Plus there weren't many titles that used dynamic resolution last gen.. Rage?

(Should be plenty of dynamic res One titles getting a boost on Scorpio though!)

Its impressive we seem to be seeing (for an increasing number of titles) that the One has sufficient grunt to turn in at least as good if not better framerate than the 360 originals now..

FC3 holding 30 with no tear is a fantastic upgrade!

I'm surprised the Crackdowns aren't available. Weren't they MS published?

Probably waiting for 3 to be released to offer them as pre-order incentives. Or at least the first one, I don't think you can incentivise anyone with Crackdown 2

Of course you can:

'Preorder Crackdown 3 today or we will install a copy of Crackdown 2 on your Xbox One which you can't remove until you've unlocked all the achievements!'

I quite enjoyed Crackdown 2. Sure it was no Crackdown 1 but given they only had a year to make it I think they did quite well.

I'm back on BLOPS3 and not really fancying another standard WW2 game (this years), so I might just embrace this game again and stay with them both til BO4 the year after. Now I just need to copy my BLOPS2 save up to the cloud and download it to the bone, that works right?

That's ridiculous. What was Microsoft thinking with such a deadline, way to almost kill off your own unexpectedly successful new ip. I didn't like Crackdown 2 at all, but I appreciate that the dev team could do no more with such tight restrictions.
