They're only shit shows because the new XBOX is crap and a waste of time. If you actually want to play quality 1st party titles, Sony is the only game in town. And don't give me any of that Skyrim rubbish, because the game is bollocks. It's just Dungeon Master for babies - all you do is mash Right Trigger to win.

Hmmmmmm. Alright, that'll do. Generally we don't mess with the Nintendo fans around here. I mean, the Sony and Microsoft fans are just your standard bunch of savages attempting to own the truth, but there's something else about the Nintendo guys. It's eerie.

So this is a sensible place after all! You had me worried for a moment. I cut my teeth on the original Game Boy & Tetris, and my first ‘real’ home consoles was a SNES, Nintendo has a special place in my heart.. 

 

That’s not to say there haven’t been others, but we only whisper about those.. the original PlayStation, the Dreamcast, the Xbox 360.. but the Switch brought me back home (of course, every Nintendo console has been there, vying for my attention, but it just wasn’t the same). 
 

These new consoles.. they’re just missing that special something.

..yep, that’s it. One of my most memorable (non-nintendo) games of this generation is Ori and the Blind Forest, and that’s now on the Switch :hug:, I love this thing.

I haven’t, I tried Bastion and Transistor before and they didn’t grip me (they’re on the ‘I’ll get back to it, one day’ list) - is this likely to be different enough for me to give it a shot?

I didn't get on with either of those either, but Hades is ace. We have quite a busy Impressions thread in general!

Imagine joining here thinking we're all level headed and serious and not a bunch of arses ready to get into an argument at the drop of a hat. Also, fuck you for dropping my hat, I paid good money for that and it's better than your hat, it has a higher thread count and keeps my head warmer than your hat. Fuck away with your shit hat.

Might as well introduce myself here.

I only found out about the forum recently, when looking for advice setting up emulators on my Wii U of all things.

 

I've been looking for a decent UK forum anyway, I usually lurked over on some other bigger forums because they were pretty quick with gaming news, but not really my cup of tea, too big and usually US leaning. Glad to see the Mega Drive thread is actually called the Mega Drive lol.

 

Thought the start of a new Gen is as good a time as any to hop in, though Lord knows I've got so little time on my hands anyway!
