First time I saw Fawlty Towers was 10 years ago when I spent 3 weeks in London being hosted by a family and doing a summer language course thingy. I remember vividly how the mum was telling us she didn't want us to watch that episode when we discovered the tapes, we did anyways and we had a blast :) even us Germans can laugh about ourselves, believe it or not :)

How awkward. I came here to escape the blue room back-slapping circle-jerk over at Bordersdown, after being banned for reacting to one of the trolls they have modding that forum, and find myself posting a hello right underneath one of the mods from Bordersdown. Huh.

 

I'm a Scottish ex-pat living in Osaka and surrounded by Americans on a daily basis - need a UK forum to try and stay in touch with reality. Joined five years ago but never posted. Hello everyone.

We've only banned two people in the entire history of this forum*. And those two are known as He Who Should Not be Named and CGMF.  Doesn't mean you won't get called out for being a twat though, if you are being a twat, though.
