You would never have been able to work out that Bloodborne score from the measly six-page review from last issue which had the words 'the first true essential of this gen' in the text. I for one am glad they have finally made up for this heinous omission which rendered that so-called review null and void and a disgrace to journalists everywhere.

I'm sad that you still can't understand what the issue with that was, but it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, I guess. One day we'll all die and our planet will be engulfed by the sun and it won't really matter that Edge didn't know the meaning of the word "verdict."

EDIT: Actually, thinking about it, "verdict" was okay. It's actually the word "the" which they struggled with. That one is a toughie, to be fair, so it's okay if you're struggling with it too.

7 for Ori? Joyless gits.

I know it's only one person's subjective opinion, but that score is bullshit. I'd be interested to read why they put it down.

'You have been been charged with the most serious crimes against humanity. The court has been presented with a summary of these offences, some six pages in length. It is fair to say that these are the most despicable acts ever witnessed by this court in my lifetime, the most brutal and inhuman acts of my generation, surpassing any other crime that has come before this court in its current incarnation. On all counts I find you guilty as charged. Oh... and by the way, just in case you were wondering... 10/10.'

Having complete Ori and just read the review I don't disagree with a single thing it says (I also don't particularly disagree with the score). It basically says it very beautiful, which we all know, but then goes on the talk about how the escape sections are a bit trial and error and a huge difficulty spike. It also mentions those sections where you require enemy fire to leap up to new places, and how it can be annoying when they just don't fire at you at the required moment. They say the most enjoyable bit of the game is when you go back before the last dungeon to mop up the powerups (this incidentally was my favorite but as well).

Anyway, just another person's subjective opinion.

Oh joy, the resident Xbox zealots are going to turn Ori into the new Double Dash. Good times for everyone ahead.

the 3 main ringleaders* do more to put people off xboxes than the machine issues themselves.

*not boozy, hes ok

We've been over this already but "TEN PAGE REVIEW SPECIAL" on the plastic seal was the particularly misleading bit and I find it a bit odd people are defending Edge being naughty boys. But whatever, this argument is boring now.

7/10 NEVAR FORGET NEVER FORGIVE

Is the Bloodborne review different to last month's? Also is this out to buy in shops? Might pick it up later.

It would be hilarious if they simply reprinted the exact same article but this time with a score at the end

Different. I do find it strange seeing as it's the 10 in the mag, that it's the second review after Battlefield.

It basically talks about how it's different going through it a second time. However the meat of the review (2/3s of it) concentrates on the bits they didn't talk about last month, like the online, random dungeons and PvP.

Yep, fair enough. It's all subjective after all, but I assumed most people that play it would rate it pretty highly.

One issue that I had with it, that I mentioned in the Ori thread, was that by the time you had all your powers and mastered them there isn't much game left. It could have done with a new game +.

Who are the 3 then, if Boozy isn't one?

I thought you were talking about Bloodborne for a moment. :)
