Every time I see this thread bumped I expect it to be a story about how they are closing the site.

I don't see how it continues to be a running concern.

It has to be done soon. I noticed a few weeks ago that Jeff G's streams were more than double the views of GB, There's no way it can keep going.

My concern for the inevitable closure is what happens to all that video content. I just hope there's someone out there doing the lords work and downloading it all to multiple hard drives for future generations.

On the This Day in Giant Bomb video selection it was Mario Party Party 11 from 4 years ago. Such an A+ series. And the return of Drew.

Any top 100 games games of all time that doesn't include Disco Elysium is null and void. And if it includes Mario Sunshine on top of that, he should be banned from ever even looking at a console ever again.

I would also say any list without Obra Dinn is also null and void.

Why did Dan come back? Didn’t he leave to do some wrestling thing? Did that not work out?

It worked for a bit. But after he left he complained that he never got to do anything that he wanted with his podcast output. Which is hardly surprising. Vince McMahon probably doesn't know what a podcast is.

Now he does twitch streams and Fire Escape mostly. Despite him being a full time GB person now I'm not exactly sure what he does.

I think he returned to give ‘new Giantbomb’ credibility by being the only personality from the old days to return. But like The Rock’s  return to WWE In 2011 he came back with a lot of hype, gave the impression he was going to be a key part of the new group but is now rarely seen on the content. GB was the personalities of the original crew but now it’s just a Gamespot brand with a couple of people doing a job share with the main site and Jeff Grubb reminding me why I never bothered with Gamespot or IGN podcasts.

I can’t see GB content getting wiped from the internet as long as Gamespot is around, as long as the two are linked it isn’t going to disappear like USGamer did when it shut down.

I always thought their Twitch numbers were surprisingly low because they also streamed on YouTube at the same time, but realised they don't.

Just to clarify, this was a week when the Bombcast and Jeff's podcasts were going head to head live on Twitch. Jeff was way ahead.

Jeff and the Back Page are the only two pods I can listen to really.

While I'm here I'll just say I can't believe how fucking abysmal IGN's podcasts have become.
