This is so far brilliant, I know so many have been saying "it's 2D Dark Souls" and it really does have that feel to it, hard to describe just how well it nails an, I don't know, an atmosphere maybe? It's got that dread to it. 

 

It's also wilfully obtuse with regard to anything and everything which is what some love but I'm not the biggest fan of, so I think I'll need some sort of guide at least for the odd reference. Currently getting battered by The Sodding Knight who I've wasted all my health potions on now.

Despite me having this in my library for ages, I only actually started playing is this weekend and it's fantastic!

 

I don't like the art style on itself, but taken as a whole it's very coherent. The gameplay itself however absolutely nails it. Delightful surprise, even though it clearly shouldn't have been that. :P
