It's probably because there have been no new wave announcements recently and the April wave is sold out already leaving only the standard Link / Mario / Peach Amiibo's easy available to buy anywhere.

Its their fault because there's nothing wrong with my card. I rang the bank and checked, it was all clear. So I put another order through with paypal and that was then cancelled due to a payment error again.

Nope. Things are quiet because the amiibo scene is quiet. All the last wave sold out months before release, this newest wave is only a set of new poses and Toad, and the next wave is also all sold out already. There's little to say other than "oh. Still can't get that one."

America has got a Gold Mario, though, which looks nice.

I've rather stupidly got into collecting the Mario Party games on the back of the Amiibo scene and have a mini horde of 3DS cover plates. It's all got a bit silly.

I was asked today if the Pikachu, Lucario & Charizard Amiibo's could be used to capture those Pokemon in the 3DS Pokemon games. I had to admit that even though I have a new 3DS, it had never even occurred to me to try.
