Hey all, just a heads up i won't be around to raid tomorrow, going out for a meal to introduce the rents to the girlfriends parents for the first time..... wish me luck....

Nevermind, hadn't checked out MMO-C etc when I posted that. Apparently, for those who don't know, a load of people have been given 6 months bans for what they cite is "no reason" but in reality is botting. Quite funny to read all the rage on the forums as people who were raiding lost half their raid teams to bans :D

Tonight will be one or more of the following:

1) The night that we power through blast furnace

2) The night where we fall apart as a raid team

3) The night where half the raiding team and their alts take a mysterious 6 month absence

Well not tonight it seems! Well done all. Good to get that down :)

Already reviewed Blackhand - we do need ranged DPS switching to the tanks after the first marked for death, in addition to ensuring it gets hit by them. That should eliminate the fire we were getting.

I thought we did OK last night, hopefully we can get some more time on him soonish as I imagine the amount of resets we have left is dwindling. As a heads up I won't be around next Sunday, and as it is the bank holiday perhaps move the raid to Monday?

In fact I'd say we're at stage 4 on the Muk HFD phased approach to wiping:

1. Horrible firey death and no idea why

2. Horrible firey death, understanding why but feeling powerless to prevent it

3. Horrible firey death whilst executing strategy x and failing

(3a-3z. Optional loop of horrible firey deaths whilst ditching strategy x and trying strategy x+1)

4. Horrible firey death whilst tweaking barely adequate strategy

5. Horrible firey death in next phase of fight

I'm happy to do whatever the collective hive mind of john and moo decide.

I'd note a couple of things

1. Going through the logs we need to hitting 30k dps, most of the time 80% of the dps failed to get to that.

2. If dps is the major factor in phase 3 I'd recommend trying to get people some more gear, in particular quite a few people don't have 4 piece tier or trinkets.

3. If we want to continue with the current boss I think we need to ensure we put the right people in the right groups and using the best talents.

4. This is an odd fight as people have to specialise, I'm currently playing a build that cleavesy recommended, I don't like it but it does huge dps.

5. The balcony group need burst aoe best specs are DK, Moonkin, rogue and warlocks with the 4 piece bonus. If I go to the balcony I need to change my talents.

We can't point to DPS being an issue in any phase until it's stable tactically and we know that it going on too long is a problem. That's not the case for phase 2 and we've not got to phase 3 yet. We'll probably have bloodlust for it to help.

We'll do another full clear starting this week - but then if we're to get Blackhand down we'll need to focus on him.

This won't be to everyone's tastes and we may not get stellar attendance but if we're to down him it's what we'll need. I will say the chances of getting a 2nd Blackhand kill before the patch are very slim, so those who prefer to turn up after we've sorted out the tactics for a smoother ride should probably expect to have to PUG it down the line.

I'm expecting blast furnace to be tough this week, it's likely going to take the whole of this week to even get to Blackhand.

Right.

Does anyone not have the best gems:/enchants? They'recoretty cheap now but if still and issue I don't mind covering costs for regular raiders.

Same with gear if anyobe's still using 670 or lower.
