Being in constant fear of Nintendo games going out of print, I've just pre-ordered this from Amazon. Having not played it before, I hope it doesn't disappoint!

This is a thing now, definitely. I don't really know what Nintendo are playing at but something is up.

I've taken to buying up pretty much every First Party release for the Wii U before the physical copies disappear.

Even stuff like Donkey Kong Country TF and Pikmin 3 are disappearing!

For the first time in ages, pre-ordering actually has an advantage!

Other than the fishing holes, is there going to be anything extra added to this version?

Not that there needs to be of course. Majora's Mask is one of the most densely-packed with content games I've ever played. It has the requisite puzzles & dungeons, but I love how the characters have their own storylines which change depending on your actions, which adds some much needed life to the world.

For some reason, I forget important shit now all the time, however I can still remember that way back in some interview with Miyamoto before Majora's came out he claimed that the game would have "Jabu Jabu fishing". Obviously the final game didn't, but it looks like they've put whatever that was back in.

Never played this on my N64 (God knows why not). So, when the 3 day timer runs out is that it? Reset the world back to the start?

Is it repetitive in nature? How does the mechanic work exactly - unless explaining it would spoil the story.

You'll find out. It's the best thing. Have no fear

Basically, you have 3 days to stop the moon crashing into the earth. In this time frame you can attempt a dungeon or basically wander around the town watching people get on with their lives. If you complete a dungeon, then when you reset the 3 day cycle, you keep everything you got from that dungeon and move on to the next.

But the main draw is the town. Watching the people starting to panic as the moon draws closer and helping them before time runs out is what makes this so different to other Zeldas. These people have lives and need you to save them. It's amazing.
