Wing suit into side of cliff is my current go-to move, but after about an hour or so everything feels good. Rico is pretty durable, which is good because the enemy feels relentless. And the explosions... Oh my goodness, they're so beautiful.

Game is clearly already a 'just one more minute' type of thing. Or, rather, 'I wonder what thethering that will do... I best find out.'

Had another blast through a few militia bases, and noticed a fair bit of slowdown when things get really hectic. Nothing game-breaking, but noticeable.

Barely touched the side missions, but of those I've done they offer more mayhem. This game is basically a mayhem simulator. Feels as deep as a paddling pool, but that's not meant as a criticism; the main aim is to blow shit up, and on that this delivers in spades.

Does the whole Just Cause thing completely wash over anybody else with a crushing sense of pointlessness like it does me?

You can blow stuff up and be flung high into the air whenever you want, but it seems like a colossal waste of time when everything else is sooooo bland and terrible.

I am instantly reminded of this whenever I see or hear mention of it:

My thoughts exactly. Just Cause 2 was great when it was a couple of quid. Think I got it for a fiver and I enjoyed blowing stuff up but I cannot understand why anyone would pay full price for this for the console versions. Mental!

If it had co-op on the other hand...

If I'm going to start judging games on whether or not they are pointless I'll probably have to start another hobby.

I don't understand some of the hate from those recent posts. Just Cause 2 was one of the best open world games of the last generation. Granted, it's repetitive. But the repetition comes from a series of tasks which are infinitely rewarding.

I'm bored of Fallout 4, currently twiddling thumbs whilst I wait for this.
