Just Cause 2 had one of the worst beginnings I've played, that fucking snow mountain which was in no way a representation of what the game was like. I didn't even know it was an open world game. My brother kept badgering me to keep playing it past the first level, otherwise I'd have given up.

Thats the amazing thing ?!

That whole level was just one of a million bases.

Pre-ordered from Simply yesterday. After all these amazing videos and chatting to Dave White, it just sounds glorious, I adored the setting of Far Cry 3 and this kind of looks to me like a massive expansion on that.

I've got 2 on the Bone thanks to the back compatibility, should I try that first or just wait for this to go in fresh? I've got plenty of other games still to play before it's released.

Go in fresh - JC2 is brilliant but the whole thing is a playground, and JC3 looks to just have more toys in it than the previous game.

Even though I very much enjoyed the previous games this wasn't even on my radar to be honest. It looks way too samey and visually doesn't even look that much better than JC2. But then I remembered how great it was flying around with a parachute and how in this one you can continuously soar through the skies in a wingsuit. I'm excite!

Yes apparently. They've just released the recommended specs and from what Neogaf are saying they're pretty much the same as for Mad Max.

No. The last games MP was done by Modders. Apparently they brought them in for a weekend to have a look at the JC3 framework, so it seems they might be working on a mod but it'll be PC only in all likelihood.

I'm getting this on PS4 because I don't have my PC during the week but at 16.99 I'm slightly tempted to double dip on it for that glorious 1440p 60fps action.

Also for the people getting excited about the Zavvi price, they're notorious for getting games to you late.

And there was me considering holding off because I've a lot of other stuff to do and play. For £17 and the chance to ride a cow, though, I just can't not do it.

I was also considering the Xbox One version because of the recording faciliies, 'cos open world games of this ilk are perfect for it. But at half the price, well, there's no contest.
