Nespresso
This guy has done some fps checks on the XBox version Oooh boy! Next-gen is here alright! Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't recall the previous gen being this bad as far as performance issues and the like?
layten
Like moving at 60fps? I'll sort that out tomorrow.
HarryBizzle
I'm gonna play it this week and then get the PC version on the weekend and get rid of the PS4 version. I'm starting to wonder just what the hell I own a PS4 for when it's got no decent exclusives and doesn't even run third party acceptably.

Max Damage
My PS4 has been gathering dust since I finished Dying light, I even let my PS+ sub lapse, I don't know man, this generation just hasn't gripped me like the previous one and there's no exclusives I want yet. I considered buying JC3 for the PS4 but these framerate and load time issues have put me well off, PC version it is, my PC is super loud when working hard but I'm used to it now and maybe the game will run in 3D. MatOfTheDead
got the xbox one version on the way to me although after seeing that video i might just leave it till they patch the loading times etc and play mad max instead
HarryBizzle
The huge amount of motion blur and awful framerate may well combine to make this the first game to ever make me feel nauseous.
catinthehat
The huge amount of motion blur and awful framerate may well combine to make this the first game to ever make me feel nauseous. I just thought the same thing watching that helicopter video. Never had an issue with any other game, ever. That video freaked me out, though. Does anybody have any good impressions of this? Is it as much fun as it looks, framerate issues aside?
HarryBizzle
I think if the framerate wasn't horrendous and it didn't take a minute plus to restart when you die/fail it might be a lot of fun. The driving is absolutely horrendous, though.
Down by Law
I'm sorry but the frame rate is far from horrendous. Bloodborne is worse. The hyperbole is ridiculous, you would think it was as bad as Dark Souls on the 360 or Infernal, which genuinelly did run at 5-10 fps

Is it as much fun as it looks, framerate issues aside? yes, I said earlier in the thread I have it on PS4 and love it - I put 10h in over the weekend and its the first game in several years I've played for that long over a couple of days. mdn2
Yeah, it is actually great. The load times are terrible, but the framerate hasn't been an issue for me. I spent far too long last night seeing how many people I could tether to a wall.

The drops in this are persistent and regular. Even driving provokes them. Don't know if the drops will show up on stream but I'll be streaming here for a while: http://www.twitch.tv/harrybizzle/
mprice
I've preordered the Xbox One version and despite some of the negative feedback on the framerate/physics engine I'm still feeling pretty positive about it. Just Cause 2 ran like ass in places on the 360 but it didn't spoil my enjoyment at all, hell even on PC in places there was pop in and frame drops, it's still one of my most played games on Steam, though. My only real concern is the load times, especially if the game is as much fun as it looks.
Max Damage
I imagine if I were to play the consoles versions then I wouldn't give two shits about the framerate, load times would be annoying until they patch it or you get better at it. Tbh the game looks really fun and Im jealous of all you folk playing the game early, not long to go now.
layten
Lots of talk about long load times. Challenge accepted.
Mr.Crowley
This is literally a blast, load times be damned. The framerate is fine, although I am a veteran of the war against the giant insects. The landscape is truly something to behold.
Gotters
It's perfect post work pick up a play material - I've just had a lovely hour noodling about clearing non story mode town and bases and the finesse in controlling Rico really coming together, there is a lot to get to grips with initially. Happy to say no server signing errors today either Here is eurogamer on the framerate debate http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2015-just-cause-3-performance-analysis

Mr. Gerbik
The huge amount of motion blur and awful framerate may well combine to make this the first game to ever make me feel nauseous. In all seriousness, even if the PC version was more expensive and I had a PC that would run the game noticeably worse than the console versions, I would still get the PC version if the developers don't bother to put in an option to turn motion blur off. I really dislike that effect and I find it really annoying when it's turned all the way up high, like it was in FF Type 0 HD and now in this game. I do wonder why developers do this - they spend all that time and hard work creating a beautiful environment, only to blur it all to fuckery when the player so much as looks at the analogue stick. First thing I noticed when I watched the preview videos was the screen looking like it was smeared with a thick layer of vaseline whenever the camera moved slightly. Bleurgh. Just like some developers love chromatic abberation and I don't know why. It's not stylish, it's not cool, it's a defect photographers try to minimise and get rid of - why the fuck would I want something that degrades image quality in a game I'm playing ? I hate motion blur as well, one of the first things that gets turned off if I have the option.
