Disney are shutting Blue Skies Studios, the studio that did Fox CG animated movies. They're not even finishing the movie currently in production.

I've no affection for the Ice Age movies and Epic, but I really enjoyed The Peanuts Movie, and the Nimona comic has a very good reputation so I was looking forward to its film adaptation.

Fuck Disney. They'd rather another Pixar film about how sitting at a desk is bad and you should follow your passion. Unless you passion is being an animator working on Nimona, of course.

The Fox TV channel will close in the UK on 30 June. Much of its content (exact details to be announced) will be moving to Star on Disney+.

Production of Nimona has been revived! It's now being animated by DNEG for a release on Netflix.
