He's looking to take a picture of the eighth heroine to show the creepy guy with the boots. I don't know what mission you're talking about deKay.

The same one. She's

In the Gerudo Highlands, holding a sword.

You can see her on the map.

Yes, but what you can't see on the map however, is that her sword is missing, which is something that the creepy desert guy comments on when you show him the picture, & you then have the option of tracking it down in order to get an additional quest reward.

She may well have a sword for Link to use on her hands, but her own massive sword is elsewhere

Fuck. I just beat Ganon by mistake.

I was having a wander, trolling guardians as you do, and thought I'd go and try find a certain shield. Some bloke on the road told me about

going around the North of the castle, as there's a way in by some dock.

So, I go round there, don't see that but do see a stack of three waterfalls. Zora suit a go-go. Then I got targeted by a couple of static guardians, so dashed up a wall and ducked through a door. Right into the

Sanctum. And there's old sad sack hanging from the ceiling. Cue a very brief boss fight, as I have 120 hours on the clock, 20 hearts, all the staminas, 40 ancient arrows, a fully upgraded suit of Ancient Armour, all the beast charms, the Master Sword, an Ancient shield, and the guardian parry down pat.

I suppose I could have backed out, but I wanted to see what happened. I enjoyed it. The end credits are lovely too.

So there we go. Technically I accidentally finished the game.

But FUCK THAT! I don't want to play anything else. So immediately I hit continue and went off and found my last missing memory and another couple of shrines.

And long may it continue. I'll be back to beat his ass again when I'm ready to really put it to rest (you know, in another 100 hours or so).

I've been thinking about this game all day. I haven't had that with any other game apart from world of Warcraft for...years?

I couldn't get into horizon: zero dawn. I have no doubt it's a superb game, but it just hasn't grabbed me. I think now, though, Zelda will have spoilt it. I doubt I'll ever go back.

This is why I've put off the final divine beast for hours and hours

Off to the West coast for a couple of weeks tomorrow so shall be taking my Switch along with me for the flight, can't wait. Though my daughter may have other ideas when I attempt to play it! Really want to take the pro controller as not keen on the joycons but think that may be a step too far.

So, I've half done it, just in the wrong order...

I took a dander up towards the Gerudo Highlands, with my 4 year old watching me. I spot a bear and my kid shouts "KILL IT!". I thought I'd go one better and try to ride it, he's bound to think that's cool. So I glide down to it, but it scarpers. I go in chase as it runs up a hill and towards a cliff. It runs along the edge of the cliff then...fades out and disappears! I was right behind it so it wasn't like the pop in/out that is quite prevalent. I look around at him and expect to see him disappointed, but he has a face of pure awe and says "That is so cool! A magic bear!" Even when the game doesn't really work it still produces magic!

He is now instructing me to go to the "bad castle". Trying to put him off for a little while longer. (Up to 85 shrines with 10 quests to do, haven't used a guide yet...I feel that might have to change!)

Yeah, I was looking for a memory location, did the same as you, but then thought 'Nahhhhhh, not yet' and backed through the door once more.

Thought I could hear the sound of Zelda sobbing, but now I reckon that was just my imagination. Ahem.

So 100 hours in and I find a whole new village, a lovely coastal one too. Amazed I missed it, think I explored everywhere around there but that specific location before.

Had an amusing moment just before I found it, there was a small Bokoblin camp by the shore, I approached wearing a Bokoblin mask they followed me around as always. Found a partially submerged treasure chest so got my magnesis out. When the magnesis connected with the chest they all did a little frightened jump and when I yanked it out the ground they all ran off screaming into the sea. Had me giggling for ages.

It's so weird when people quote a long playtime along with the zero Divine Beast fact. There's loads to do, but how could you not go check one out?

Reminds me of that Simon Cowell Cribs episode where he showed people around a mansion where no rooms were ever used.

On my train home I was riding up the east side of Hyrule plain, heading north from Wetlands Stable. A boar ran across my path and I was wondering what it was running from. I got off my horse and didn't see anything but could hear some nosie behind me... turned round to see a massive Stalnox pulling out his rib and about to twat me with it!

absolutely shat it!

Oh, I have checked the first one at Zora's domain but I didn't think I had enough hearts or decent swag to beat it (I'd collected all the shock arrows from the mountain with the Lynall as suggested by one of the Zora's). So I went away to get more hearts and stuff, I just didn't get round to going back. Keep getting side tracked. I'm in no hurry really.

I've reached three Divine Beasts but I'm yet to enter any of them. I don't feel like working towards the game's end just yet when there's so much still unexplored.

Oooooh Missus!

To be frank, just getting them out of the way is fine as it will give you some added abilities and it also unlocks a fair amount of side quests. I think they're pretty much what the tombs were in the newer Tomb Raider games. The side quests and secret shrines and the massive scale of the map are what this game is really about. I had more fun doing a side quest for a secret/hidden shrine the other day than all of the three Divine Beasts I've done so far. I'm sure there are lots of other quests to do that will be equally as good.

I would probably recommend doing the Rito dungeon, at least, at some point while you're still exploring because the reward is genuinely useful for getting around the world but not so much for the final stretch. If you do it at the end you'll get much less use out of the power.

How do you start the second bit of the quest then? The guy gave me the boots and won't trigger another quest.

I went back to him at a time he was awake - he tells you where he's going to hang out - and he triggered the second quest when I talked to him. I had what I needed, so just talked to him again, job done.

Thanks for the hints, everyone. Now to finish off the Leviathan quest (done the two in the hot regions; one more to do; haven't seen it on the map, yet).

And I still haven't found that missing Zora woman.
