You know you've been playing this game too long when it starts to creep into real life.  I went away with some friends to Pembrokeshire last weekend where we hired out a Youth Hostel.  There was a stunning walk we went on - this was one of the scenes, right on the coastline:

My initial reaction?  Was it "oh wow - what stunning scenery."  Nope.  It was "ooh - if that chap has managed to get all the way up there, there's probably a shrine tucked away on the other side of that hill."

There wasn't FWIW.  Just some seagulls.

Did you lift up the strangely placed rock at the top of it?

I almost just want to finish off the game now as it's dominating way too much of my free time. I haven't watched any walking dead or 24 legacy or billions since I got my Switch. I haven't played any other games except for a quick blast on fast rmx and Splatoon 2. I've hardly done any exercise. There have been 2 gloriously sunny weekends where I've just stayed indoors to fuck about in hyrule.

Ganon and his 120 shrines needs to be conquered and soon.

Don't be silly, as he got to the top, 3 balloons started floating around in a random manner.

Nah, look at all those rocks to the left. Guaranteed there's a circle of rocks in the water on the other side of the hill to try to lob one into.

I've just done the best side Quest so far. The Three Giant Brothers. It's near Hateno Tower by Taran Pass. If you have some decent weapons and a fair amount of arrows, it's fantastic fun and really mixes the combat up. I thoroughly recommend it if you've not done it yet and have honed your skills a bit. The reward is the usual but you get a lot of decent loot too. It was fantastic.

that music in Korok Forest is so classy. Shame about the frame rate there though. It's an absolutely gorgeous area, but rough as a bears arse performance wise. Hopefully we'll see some more improvements there to help eliminate that.

Is that how those bloody puzzles work? I've been trying to dive through the middle of those circles of sticky-up rocks and braining myself.

Anyone been up on Hyrule Ridge, where there's a very pretty pink cherry blossom type of tree and a very shallow pond in front of it?

Spoiler

I thought it looked like a likely location for a fairy fountain or something cooler, but after messing around there for a while I couldn't seem to trigger anything.

Spoiler

So I jumped off the top of the peak and floated over to some mushroom looking tree type things over the opposite side of the canyon. Once I got there I looked back over to where I'd just came from and

Spoiler

There was a brilliant green glow rising up from the spot where the pink tree is. I made my way back across the canyon as quick as I could and scaled up the ridge to above the tree/pond. There was a definite glow and warm atmosphere around the place and some twinkly noise going on. I edged up to the ledge and crept to the edge to get a look down at the tree. I was astounded to see down there at least half a dozen of those cute little glowing white rabbits scampering around in the pond along with a much bigger creature, maybe a deer or something with the same ghostly but beautiful glow. I kind of panicked at this point because I wasn't quite sure what I was seeing or what I should do. I heard myself making pathetic little whimpering noises round about this point too. I was kind of frozen to the spot. After what seemed like ages but was probably a couple of seconds, I thought I should try and shoot an arrow down into one of them like I've done with the single rabbits I've seen around some of the forests. As soon as I drew my bow they all started to fade and a second later they were all gone, everything was back to normal and it was freezing cold. It all felt a bit like an in game out of body experience.

I switched off not long after to have a look at the guide but couldn't find any reference to what I'd seen. Any of you guys had this or know what I should have done. It was a really cool but strange experience, kind of unreal in a way. I've been thinking about it all day today.

When I'm back on later I'm gonna load a save from before it all happened and try to recreate the conditions again to see what happens. What a game this is.

Oh, if anyone wants to go there the nearest shrine is

I loved finding this.

Y'know how you can mount a horse? Yeah, maybe get real good at that before you go back here ;)

There are 40 in a variety of types and the loot varies based on which type it is.

They're best dealt with by using the spin attack on the heavy two handed weapons (assuming the black weak point is on their back). If it's on their arse then a spear or just standing on its back and firing arrows into them works well.

Try shield surfing down it without falling off :)

Light a fire and wait for 9pm, then you've got the whole night to fight it.

I just wait for the beep right before they fire.

I cannot hear the beep at all?
