I am completely flummoxed by the constellations shrine in Korok Forest.

The forest itself though

Took me a while. Clue:

Spoiler

You need to cross-reference the big board of constellations you can see in the locked room with what's on the walls in the room you're in. You probably knew that, though.

Thanks, I'll have a think about it. I have looked at all the constellations but nothing obvious has clicked just yet. I started looking at light and shadows, thinking far too far outside the box, The Witness has a lot to answer for!

Another hint:

Spoiler

Are all the constellations on the big wall different, or are some repeated?

you're probably thinking too hard about it.. it's really pretty straightforward.  Slight clue

look carefully at the rows of ball switches

My 4-year-old and I spent a while on that shrine. Every now and then he'd say "I know!", grab the pad and proceed to drop the balls in sockets randomly before admitting defeat and handing the pad back.

I'm finding having a child who doesn't just think in 'game logic' can be quite helpful in the shrines, as you can often find a solution by thinking outside the box. Earlier in the thread I mentioned his solution of leaving heavy weapons on a pressure-pad, which worked a treat.

We were stuck in a shrine that has you riding up-drafts and his suggestion was to unequip all weapons and shields to make myself lighter, which was a great idea but alas made no difference. It's the first logical physical solution I've tried which hasn't worked as expected.

That's me at around the 60 hour mark, 65 Shrines done and around 130 Korok fellas uncovered. I've still yet to do any Divine Beasts. It's wonderful, though. I'd be long done with many games by this point but I feel there's still so much I want to explore and do.

Are you sure you've looked at 'all' the constellations in the temple?

Not entirely sure, I've seen the ones either side of the gate and the ones beyond in the other room.

OK, sounds like you have enough information to solve the puzzle then - you'll kick yourself when you do. I did. Sounds like we all did.

Does Kilton ever get any more groovy swag than his starting selection? I have:

Spoiler

The four monster masks (awesome), and the dark (red-eyed) outfit (hellishly expensive, looks cool, but disappointing in use).

And I'm not that bothered with the other starting stuff. But does his selection expand over time, or once you have everything he initially offers?

I have lots of Mon, burning a hole in my pocket, mon. And nothing to spend it on.

I was on that constellations shrine last night. I broke open the guide after 20 minutes. Even the solution makes no sense to me.

That I don't get at all. The solution when you see it is completely obvious.

Next time youre there there go back in and have a proper look

Ha, I was stuck on the constellation one too for a bit. Classic 'it's so much easier than you think' puzzle.

There was actually one shrine I abandoned and never figured out. It's near the Gerudo area and there is a very, very slightly raised platform that moves from side to side and there is a crystal in the middle of the floor. Hitting the crystal makes some blocks rise and fall to create a staircase.

That description is terrible but I could never figure out how the moving platform fit into it, which I suspect is the key to solving the puzzle. It just seemed completely superfluous.

Heh, if i say you could move something that, perhaps, you hadn't thought of moving... Would that help?

I'm 98 shrines in. Apparently I have 14 Shrine quests left with 8 left just sitting in the world somewhere.. no idea!

Shall be fun finding them, as I'm totally going for the 120. But I have one memory remaining and I have zero clue as to where it is.

It's the Forest one, the bottom right picture. Could someone point me as to which map quadrant it's in? As in NE/SE/NW/SW ?

Visit the stables nearest the Plateau. The artist can help you with that one.
