I think I hold off the last 15 shrines for the first bit of DLC: I need my life back for a start. Looking out over the plateau seems like a million years ago. This is definitely one of those games you wish you could wipe your memory and restart fresh.

I can hardly remember the beginning of the game, especially the plateau and Hyrule Field. The same is beginning to happen with the Zora area despite going back a couple of weeks ago to rinse the place for luminous stones.

I should go back to the plateau and HF for the Koroks, but I'm thinking I might not bother in favour of a hard mode run some time later on in the year, or maybe even later than that.

How the hell do people get through so quickly? I'm heading toward 50 hours and have done none of the 4 bosses and only about 30 shrines. Have you done side quests too?

I'm more surprised you haven't done any of them by this point. Are you not even touching side quests? There's more to the game than climbing and looking at places

For the first time in over 100 hours of play I'm getting a bit frustrated with the game (or maybe myself) - The Lost Woods is just the wrong side of 'challenging' for me. Found my way to the Koroks and THAT sword but the other quests involving any kind of movement through the woods are proving unenjoyable as I keep getting caught by the mist. One more evening at it tonight then I'll park it and move on.

Methinks you've missed a pretty obvious hint on moving through the woods... although I don't understand why you're caught in the woods during the challenges. There are very clear distinct paths to follow for all of them.

I did wave the magnet around a bit but mostly seemed to be too far off to spot anything...I think I may just be being a bit dense..like the bloody forest [emoji14]

Hehe! Yeah the woods are annoying. One of the other challenges really pissed me off too

But try just wandering around with magnesis permanently on see if it helps..

I took down calamity ganon over the weekend, and thought that my interest in the game would dwindle, as the 'end goal' had been reached. I couldnt have been more wrong. I just love being in the game world! Its so much fun just exploring the world. I've put over 200 hours into it, and i just cant stop playing. At the moment, im just mopping up sidequests and trying to get all the armour upgraded.

Fuck those 900 korok seeds though!

So you can continue on after defeating Ganon? I was under the impression you had to revert to an earlier save.

Stealthfin Trout

You looking for an armour upgrade? Just freed the fourth fairy (phew!) and finding the finny freak is fairly ... tricky.

There's a bunch of stuff I'm not sure I've ever seen before being asked for, for the final upgrades. Plus a few things I had to sell off to get 10K, natch.

Stealthfin Trout can suck the whole of my dick.

An odd statement what with Stealthfin Trout being famed for such small mouths...

I still haven't found the third fairy, pretty sure its a lie.

Well, apart from the last one, there's always been someone who pointed me in the right direction. In one place, such a person does appear in the location until you sufficiently advance a side quest.

The last one I found because it's under the target of another side quest that is pretty bloody obvious on the map once you zoom in enough.

Why have people started doing spoiler tags where the spoilered text is the bit that tells you what it regards? Surely that negates the entire point of spoiler tags.

Maybe because some people don't want to know what happens with the game after you complete Ganon? Ruins any possible surprises. The one person it was meant for can then read it regardless.

I'm not talking about that spoiler. I'm talking about the situation that I described using words in the post you just replied to.

I think time will be kind to the soundtrack of this game. I know it's not as immediately catchy as the past games but whenever I see someone post their favourite track and I listen to it I'm like 'oh yeah, I totally forgot about this one, this one's great'.

The best song is obviously Kass's song though. The thrill of hearing it playing when out in the wilderness never wore off, and I never really wanted to leave him once I found him and hear the music fade away again. The complete version of it is even better though (the version he plays normally is abridged).

Second best song is Hyrule Castle. Not only is it heart-poundingly epic, the way it changes when you're outside and inside the castle is brilliant.
