Is there a decent e-guide? I want to get some occasional steer in shrine locations, recipes etc. But, I don't want a physical book and most websites guides are shite and unusable. Anyone know of a decent resource? Would love something to access on iPad.

I don't need it - someone else was looking for a traveller's sword (I assume for the weapon-mad kid in Hateno).

I'm looking for a duplex bow (and have been pointed in the right direction - pretty much where I was heading to, next).

But thanks for the advice, anyway - someone will find it useful.

That crickets side mission is a lot easier once you've upgraded the Shiekah Slate to unlock its amazing homing properties! Getting a photo of a cricket is easier said than done though.

Just spin attack grass with a sword, crickets aplenty.

Haha! Oh right, yeah well whoever it was looking the Travellers Sword, it's pointed to above! :)

Got all 120 Shrines (admittedly, I needed the help of guide to find the last 6) & defeated Ganon.

So what to do next?  Well, I decided to start all over again.  I used to do that all the time with Zelda games (not so much with the recent ones) but I think this one is much more suitable for it.  Before, I ran down the hill from the Shrine of Resurrection, eager to get on with things, but on the second playthrough, I strolled, deviating from the path frequently to collect bugs, mushrooms, climb trees, etc, whatever I felt like doing.  The knowledge I now have of how to do more complex things (cooking, combat tactics, the million & one ways Koroks are hiding) combined with the freedom to go wherever & do whatever i want (as long as i have the strength, stamina & skill) is still just as much as a motivator as it was during my first playthrough, & i look forward to exploring Hyrule again, but differently.

That reminds me; I really need to nail the tenpin bowling...

Three days ago I decided I wanted to upgrade my climbing gear, all I was missing was some Ice Keese wings. I decided to head to the mountains in the NW of the map, I'd hardly explored around there and figured they'd be a decent spot to look for Ice Keese. I gave myself a stern talking to, just in and out, get those wings and back to the main game I told myself. No problem.

Three days, 9 shrines down, some crazy Ice Lynel bested and a bunch of ten pin bowling later and I still haven't got the Ice Keeses I need. Fucksakes.

It was me. Thanks, but the swords those statues are holding are Traveller's Claymores. Someone else mentioned there's always one in Kakariko village, under one of the waterfalls near the top of the village. Found it there.

Ah, jeez, I was headed there later - I need one more ice wing to upgrade the last bit of my 'voe' Geruda outfit to the second level (and I must track down another fairy shrine while I'm at it, to get some of this stuff to top-level, too). Can't recall where else I've seen ice Keeses - probably the Fountain/Spring/Shrine/Well of Wisdom, or whatever it is.

I never did find the climbing tunic; just the trousers and hat. Probably one of the half-dozen combat shrines I have found, but am yet to complete.

One tip - if you need chu jelly in different flavours, hit it with a blade or rod of the appropriate type to change it (flame blade to get red jelly, etc.). Or use that type of elemental weapon to kill the chu in the first place.

Don't forget, once the Sheikah Slate is upgraded & you can take pictures of weapons for the Hyrule Compendium, its possible to then set the Sheikah Sensor to scan for that weapon rather than Shrines.

This came in very handy when I was looking for a replacement Forest Dwellers shield & suspected that there might be one in the Forest, but didn't know exactly where.  The sensor guided me right to a little nook where a shiny new shield & spear were waiting for me.

And, possibly the most useful feature of all, take a picture of a Treasure Chest (any one, open or closed) & the sensor will guide you to the nearest one of the hundreds in the overworld, & even the ones in Shrines.

Ice rod and the Keese swarms just outside the castle. Hundreds in seconds.

I've been avoiding the castle, not for any reason other than there's so much else to do.

Edit: Oh, wait - are you saying that if you freeze a Keese wing it becomes an Ice Keese wing a la Chuchu Jelly? Hadn't considered that. Oh well, kind of glad I didn't know that as I wouldn't have had that little adventure when I did.

You know, I should have put two and two together with my previous post:

Hung around for ages waiting for a blood moon. Normally, they seemingly happen every night for me but not when I'm next to that cunt with the accordion.

Don't get me wrong, I used to like him but after 20 times triggering nighttime by lifting a fire, the same repetitive tune was starting to grate somewhat. So I hit him with a sword. He didn't die but he expressed annoyance. Fuck him and fuck his one-song fucking accordion.

I know the exact shrine quest you are working on. I did the same with trying to force the blood moon but nothing. Once I went somewhere else, did some random shit and came back the blood moon did its thing.

Finally made it to a Tower (Lake one) that I've been heading towards the past 2 days of playing. Standing a top of the tower I see a shooting star thing crash way out where I was ages ago. So of I glided back that way. After collecting my Star Fragment I realise I never actually activated the tower so don't think of can fast travel back there....

Yeah, google suggests blood moons are more random than just on a cycle. Possibly related to how many monsters you kill.

 xD

I spotted some daffodils on my routine dog walk which must have appeared literally overnight and I thought exactly the same thing.

That's for the feedback earlier guys . Have treated it as a voyage of discovery tonight and enjoying it much more . The attention to detail is insane . You think "what if i try this?" And it works . I have cracked more than a few smiles tonight .
