I've got all the stone talus' I've found marked, with six separate markers for which type it is and where the weak point is. The only stamp that leaves free I've got marking the Moldugas.

This means nothing to me.  I'll assume it'll make sense later in the game. I've just finished the first dungeon (Zora)

So... how do people use the stamps a markers on the map?

i mark shrines in the current area with markers.  Once co played I mark then with a chest but but there must be a nicer way of marking areas of interest and shines that I've completed/not completed.   What are your methods of marking the map rllmuk?

Leaf: There's a Korok here I've not got yet.

Gem: Talus or loads of ore.

Skull: Nasty enemy spawn, like a Lynel.

Chest: Probably a chest. I stick these on breakable walls I see in the distance.

Shield: This is my context-sensitive stamp. I use it for marking places I've been when I'm looking for something in particular, e.g. the monument locations near Zora's Domain, or points I've been to in the labyrinthes.

Star: Goddess shrines.

Pot: Cooking pot! I'm making it a personal mission to mark every cooking pot on the map. :)

One for Switch owners:

Today I learnt that the Blood Moon bug is caused by leaving your game on for too long. If you're getting Blood Moons during the day, or more frequently than you think you should be, it's a sign your game needs to be turned off and on again.

Because of the awesome sleep mode I don't think I've turned the game off for over a week, and today I got about three Blood Moons in one game day. After restarting the software everything was fine again.

Today I got a thing and watched a cutscene five times because it was beautiful and made me emotional. I took 25 screenshots, many of which are wallpaper worthy. Will share with the forum as soon as I can get them off the SD card...

This game is so utterly joyous. Every time I play it I grin like a loon and/or do the Patrick Bateman nod at least every five minutes. Frisbeeing a weapon that's just about to disintegrate into a Bobokin's face a split second before he hits you, with that beautiful shatter sound effect, never gets old.

Question: is there armour in the world that has a fire proof effect, so you don't have to keep drinking elixirs when exploring Death Mountain? And if there is, can it be found before you climb/go into the volcano? I don't want to know where it is, just whether or not it exists.

Played so long today (and barely made any progress come to think of it) that my joycon batteries completely depleted. Tried playing it in hand hold mode but just can't so it. Going from a 48inch screen to that is too difficult for my brain to handle, I immediately couldn't work out where I was and somehow forgot the buttons so had to save mid quest and exit. Anyone else struggle to play it that way? Hopefully I can get over it - or its just this game - else I'll be missing out on the key feature of the Switch.

No. In fact, I've probably spent 80-90% of my time playing it in handheld mode.

Oh, and more thing: weak-ass Hinoxes getting proper boss health bars instead of Lynels is bullshit. Silver Lynels having a slight chance of dropping a Star Fragment is awesome.

As you were.

That's true, actually. Only Hinox that gave me any trouble was that one in that place. Lynels are much more deserving of boss health bars - in fact, the silver variants are probably tougher than any of the regular bosses.

It wouldn't be as evocative, but I think a more accurate title for this game would be Legend of Zelda: I Wonder What's Over There?

Because that's the question that pops up in my mind literally once a minute when I'm playing it.

Dont know how many hours I've put in (relatively few for this thread - maybe 20 hours), but not one moment has felt tedious, or like busy work. It's quite incredible, really.

not sure if this has been posted, it does contain some spoilers, but they are more of the technique/geographical areas type

some of these interactions show the depth of thought we all are beginning to realise has gone into this

Anyone know where Naydra or Dinraal spawn?

The lightning based one spawns in lake hylia (I think around midnight).

edit: ah, that one is farosh.

Naydra is near the top of Mount Lanaryu (look for the small lake-like area on the map), and is corrupted by Ganon's icky mess. Shoot the icky eyeballs with arrows and then shoot him once more to get the scale, then drop the scale into the spring.

I was 60 hours into the wii u version (a lot of messing about exploring etc so nowhere near the end) but I bought a switch a few days ago and am now about 20 hours in on switch. Enjoying it as much as the first time. Because of the amount of freedom you have, it doesn't feel like just plodding back to the same point like many story/cinematic heavy games would.

Best game I've played in years, possibly ever.
