I was on the Isle of Wight this weekend for the wedding of some friends.

Here's one taken with my recently purchased Minolta 70-210mm f4 (known as the 'Beercan'):

And here's one of the post-wedding firework show:

That is our new puppy Zack.

And here is a "loldog" my Girlfriend made of him, which i am going to shamelessly pimp.

If people could vote for it too, try and get it on the front page, she would be very happy ;) lol

What kit are you using DK?

I like the top 2 though not sure about the dead space at the top particuarly on the flower. The sky either needs to be bluer or it maybe needs some cropping. With the white of the flower there is almost a hint of overexposure about it. The texture on the background of the wormy thing is excellent. Where was that one taken? On sand?

Hey Yiggy,

My current kit is;

Body:

Canon EOS 400D

Lighting:

Metz 58 AF-1

Lenses:

Canon EF-S 18-55

Canon EF 50mm f1.4

Canon EF 70-200mm f4.0L IS

Carl Zeiss Jena Panacola 1.8 50mm

Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 2.4 35mm

Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX DC HSM

Sigma 24-60mm f2.8 EX DG

Accessories:

Canon BG-E3 Grip

Canon RS-60E3

Canon EP-EX15

Manfrotto 055XPROB Pro Tripod

Manfrotto 488RC2 Midi Ball Head

And some other crap I've not listed.

I was playing about using the Canon EF-S 60mm for the Macro shots and also playing about with settings, I think the Daisy shot above was;

Shutter Speed: 1/20

Aperture Value: f/14

Flash Fired

I played about with a few, here's another example;

Macro_Challenge_Daisyv1.jpg

Shutter Speed: 1/200

Aperture Value: f/16

Flash Fired

They were just some that I already had uploaded at the moment.

EDIT: The surface the waxworm is on is a Red N' Black notepad with a black glossy hard cover;
