If you want to see Ty and Wes geek out over Raiders of the Lost Ark and Escape From New York, definitely watch this episode.

On the podcast, they just uploaded a bonus ep.  Interview with Ron Perlman. :omg:

Something that just occurred to me, I don’t think the show has commented on how the damage to Earth’s ecosystem will have affected the growth of the real coffee that James Holden needs to survive. Maybe that’ll be his arc in season 6: The Search for Beans.

Although knowing Holden he’d probably find some alien coffee and drink it before anyone could stop him.

Just finished binging the series after having slow burn watched the rest off and on over past year.

no idea what the ending was about? Is it a mysterious thing, to be explained, or a thing we should get from prior cues?

i think I have a theory but wondered if I’ve just missed something?

Ty & Guy is great, their friendship is quote charming.

It's the best. I haven't linked the latest ones, but it's a must for Expanse fans and genre fans in particular.

Yeah it’s a great podcast.

Am I right in thinking that they’re going through the seasons again one by one and redoing the podcast or are they just reuploading old podcasts on to the new account?

It's a new podcast, they're doing the seasons again.

I've watched S2E2 again before watching Ty and That Guy and damn, that's a good episode. Some great shots, Avasarala, Fred Jonhnson and Miller are superb in it, we get our first taste of Drummer and the ending with Dresden is killer.

I'm avoiding reading this thread as I've just started watching.

Is there generally a point in which people think this gets good? I'm on season 1 episode 4 and I'm fucking loving it, so if theres a "stick with it until it gets going in episode blah" then I'm in for a real treat!

I'll be honest there's a lot going on but I'm loving the world building and main plotline. I've not been this taken by a sci-fi TV series since the 'new' Battlestar.

It certainly gets better, but I don't think it was ever not good. There's a lot of setup in season 1 which makes for a bit of a slow start, but that's all I think.

I think that 'stick with it' episode is no 4.  I thought the first three episodes creaked a bit under the weight of setting everything in motion.  It was a grower though and by episode 4 I was all in.   If you're loving it already you can absolutely relax into enjoying it.  The show's always heading towards interesting stuff and situations.

Pace changes a bit in in S4, which some people liked a bit less.  I loved that though, as like much of the series, it takes stuff that's really only been in scifi novels and does it's own twist on it.
