Reading speculation that the strange new for the show plot about the chubby guy becoming Secretary General for for a short while and blowing up a Belter station only for none of the Belter characters to so much as mention it and it having absolutely no bearing on the larger plot was something they shoved in to fill in the space from whatever they changed due to Cas Anvar being a sex pest. Makes sense, as mentioned the Martian plot is really truncated and strange and would explain the weirdness of having Alex and Bobbie sat in chairs for what felt like half a season, can't imagine they did it that way by choice when they've been pretty deft adapting everything else. Might also explain just how looooooong they spent on Naomi doing her MacGyver impression over the past few episodes as well.

I thought Dominique Tipper, not the strongest performer early on, was OUTSTANDING this series. This was her season and she nailed it, carrying solo scenes and scenes with weaker performers (like Filip). Her rescue seemed like a reshoot, and focusing intently on her face during the rescue sequence rather than Alex’s heroics was a clever way to amplify the female performers.

Where is book related chat in the context of a TV show version meant to exist? Surely people that only read the books don't want TV show chat in the book thread? 

 

No doubt this was covered when GoT was a thing but how is it to be managed because there is a lot of things I would quite like to refer to and speculate through well highlighted spoiler tags but haven't because of the stigma attached to raising book references.

The reason it annoys me is I would like to discuss this TV series and view discussion about it in this thread, but unless people signpost it as such in here (which they often don't), I have no way of knowing if the spoiler tagged discussion is "safe" to read in here, even now I've finished the current TV season, as people are putting book chat in them.

 

It's literally the easiest thing in the world for the book readers discussing the show in the context of the books to use the book thread above, just like we did with GoT.

Last episode was great and delivered what I was hoping for most of the season :) There were def lulls getting here , mixed in with some really great stuff.  Over all though the standard is really high and I'm vedisapointed there is only one season left!

Her rescue was beautiful, one of the smartest and best things I've seen in TV. It was so claustrophobic, you felt like you were with her peering into the void.

Yes, this is gonna be great. Wes and Ty are massive genre fans, so them talking about that and going back to previous seasons will be a treat. Think I'm starting a re-run as well.
