Lorfarius
Yeah that's taking the mickey. Practically double the price of an SD setup for every other system. I'd wait til a competitor brings out a more reasonable one.Yeah that's taking the piss. Practically double the price of an SD setup for every other system. Camel
Pricey, yes. Not a standard SD flash cart though; it emulates a CD set-up. its going to be reliable as well as convenient; those CD drives aren't getting any younger.

Lorfarius
Thanks to a mysterious loon on here I'm back in the PCE world! Got my hands on a lovely Duo, spent the last couple of nights burning piles of games for it. Even has an Everdrive so I'm all set: Did have a copy of Pang and Prince of Persia in jewel cases but I've been too focused on Cosmic Fantasy 2 to give them much of a look in. I forgot just what a fantastic system this is. Some of my fav retro games.

readonly
I've got a Duo-RX which could do with getting an RGB & booster mod (yes, still playing over composite, sorry everyone). Can anyone recommend a UK nodding service?
Camel
A mod-less RGB cable is an option these days, although I don't know what availability is like. http://db-electronics.ca/product/dbgrafx-booster-ttp/

Protocol Penguin
My PCE (white original model) was bought secondhand pre-modded with the Scart RGB lead built in but unfortunately the colours have always been washed out, affecting some games pretty badly. Probably some issue there somewhere? (Bought it before the current add ons were available, when the PCE and games were much cheaper.)

Can anyone recommend a UK nodding service? Spookily I got an RX recently and wanted to do the same thing. I contacted Old Skool consoles but he said he only does the RGB mod, which is strange as he is the official UK distributor for Tim Worthington mods, who does the booster AV-DRIVER mod. Could try pushing him on it... http://www.oldskoolconsoles.com/ I haven’t confirmed yet but this guy might do it. http://8bitplus.co.uk/ He does the RGB mod for the RX (although it’s the older version of the RGB) but when I contacted him seemed open to doing requests if I had my own RGB mod to send him. I never asked about the booster. I haven’t gone any further as I was deciding if the RGB mod alone would be enough.

dataDave
I'm on the lookout for a Core Grafx (prefer grey + blue) with RGB out + RGB amp mods. Not arsed about the box, but must be in very good condition.
