I'm surprised that Batman and Until Dawn aren't getting physical releases. They're my two pre-orders.

Until Dawn physical is available on Amazon

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Until-Dawn-Rush-Blood-PSVR/dp/B00ZG1SHXU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1475788232&sr=8-2&keywords=until+dawn

I'm sticking with my pre-order. Smash the PSVR into my face Sony!

Despite having cold feet and cancelling my preorder I sincerely hope every one of you who take receipt next week are delighted and come on here to let the rest of us know how awesome it is.

I'll look forward to reading every word and then scouring the Internet for remaining stock, kicking myself with every click

Has anyone seen anything about his Batman works with the DS4 yet?

A few reviews mention it supports it, but I'd like to know more. Really don't want to buy moves.

you throw it, like a batarang...

Sony's tips on how to avoid the tracking problems that are being reported.

Place the Camera around 6ft from your standing or seated play position

Avoid bright light sources in Camera's view like LEDs on consumer electronics, lamps, and sun through windows

Avoid reflective surfaces like mirrors and wall-hung pictures. Hint: Shiny leather sofa could cause problem. Throw blanket over it.

Avoid bright light shining directly on headset. Hint: Light from large TV close to headset could cause problem

Use PS button > Adjust PlayStation VR > Confirm Your Position to check for bright light sources and diagnose problems. Shows negative image. If all white then you are good.

Controller tracking issues could be caused by low power. Keep them charged.

Too many active bluetooth devices in area can cause tracking problems between controllers and PS4

Move closer to camera if still having problems

They rally should have just gone for an IR solution like the Rift.

I's keeping my pre-order and I'm mega keen to see what it's like. Some of the early reports and the issues Giant Bomb have me slightly concerned but not enough that I`d be willing to drop my pre-order.

I've also got a pro preordered :) and if I have to admit I did that mainly because I thought it would benefit VR the most.

I've done exactly the same thing, keeping my pre-order and got a pro on pre-order too. Happy to pick up PSVR on what has been shown so far.

For what it's worth I reckon from the amount of PSVR titles available just from launch i can't see it dying a quick death, there seems to be a real passion for the tech in the industry.

I went into my gear VR (which is good, dont be fooled, its higher res than the PSVR and so on) expecting the worst motion sickness wise.  Not a single bit of it, did all the rollercoaster stuff, some games etc..nope, not a thing. For some reason I just know its not real and dont get anything. I'm counting myself as lucky. That street luge on PSVR looks about the closest thing to something that might be bad for it, but the binoculars effect is what instantly removes motion sickness for me.  You just know its not real because your actual vision doesn't have black borders around it. Just how it works for me anyway.

Eve Valkyrie is up on the store for £54.99.

Just don't. It's the lowest rated Rift game in Reddit, even though everyone with a rift has it.

i think that might be because everyone compares it to elite though...

Im guessing providing another tracking solution would of increased the price which is already roundabout the price of the console also delayed release. In a way PSVR was hamstrung by the camera and move controllers as they had that tech ready to go and thought it was probably more cost effective. Better tracking will be with PSVR 2.0.

There's not even a PSVR section on the US PC store yet, hopefully this will be remedied.

hopefully followed by adding the demos missing from the disc to the UK PSstore.

come on Sony, give us the demos, you shit!

A Star Wars game? Where?

Battlefront. It's just going to be a free downloadable VR mission for it. Bit cheeky of Sony to push it like it's a full game but it's meant to be really good.

http://uk.ign.com/articles/2016/10/06/psvr-will-absolutely-have-non-gaming-applications-says-sony-exec

Quote

In an interview with IGN, SIE Worldwide Studios chairman Shawn Layden confirmed that non-gaming applications will "absolutely" be coming to PlayStation VR. "You probably won't see that coming from our Worldwide Studios, because that's not what we do. We do games... but there's a lot of interest from the film and television arts community," he explained.

Buy it for the tech demos. Keep it for the porn.

That's not what causes VR sickness. It's a subconscious decision made by your brainfailing a double check test. Your brain is constantly checking the horizon viewed by your eye and felt in your inner ear. At its simplest form if you tip your head to the right. Your brain "sees" the horizon tip with your eyes and "feels" it with your ears. As both inputs say tip you feel fine.

In VR if the game tips the horizon but your head is straight your brain gets a conflicting report. Eyes are saying tip, ear is saying straight. At which point your brain starts to freak out. If you have a continued conflict of inputs eyes vs ears then our bodies conclude one thing. That basically we've eaten something poisonous and that's why are eyes and ears are conflicting. Effectively the body things we've ingested something poisons. At which point the body defends itself by making you vomit to get the poison out of you.
