Anyone else really close to cancelling there pre order. I like the look of batman Arkham and battle zone but not sure what else I would play. I am also still worried how well this will work on a current gen ps4.

I'm on the verge. The thing that's really making me consider it is the Neo. I think to myself 'Hmmmm, plunk down that money on some PSVR which may wow me for a week then end up just being the home of 10 minute clagware 'experiences' or get an upgraded console which should theoretically make every PS4 game I buy going forward better.

It is exactly like a console launch. Lots of promise, a couple of known old favourite IPs to appear plus a cavalcade of stuff to sift through that is mostly shite. Then a (long) wait for then next games to appear :)

same as any other (Sony) console.

Have you all taken leave of your senses?!? VR!! In your own home!!! For 350 quid!!! 90s ukdazs would punch 2016 ukdazs squarely in the balls if he didn't buy the shit out of this and then spend a week sat in his pants with a helmet on giggling at the shinies.

This was precisely my reasoning for the Vive, especially as 90s Dudley was just as much of a driving game nut as 2016 Dudley is.

If you'd put 90s Dudley in VR Project CARS and then told him 2016 Dudley wouldn't spend the price of an Amiga on it you'd rightfully get punched!

It's really bloody annoying this is a limited release and it isn't being picked up as a proper release like other VR games are.

$40 plus $20 is close to £47, and that's even before you've factored in potential custom fees. I would love to pick this up, but these prices are just ridiculous. The vinyl release with the art book looks fantastic, but the pricing they've set is for mugs.

has anyone been able to preorder REZ? there's no buy button on the site for me, tried with 3 different browsers, i'd really like a copy even if I don't get the psvr.

Edit- its just not available to preorder yet, despite the 'preorder now!' on the page.

You'll have to excuse me being a salesman this one time, but... I'm really proud of the work the team have put in on this. Been great fun to work on and I'm really excited about it now getting a boxed release so you can all buy it and say my levels are the best  have fun blowing up things. And with that, I will bother you no more :).

To briefly reiterate some impressions @Cyhwuhx and I shared after a PS VR hands-on session with various games and demo's - we both felt Battle Zone was the best of the bunch. It just works really well, relatively eases you into a VR action game (because you're in a vehicle) and the futuristic cyber art style fits the experience perfectly.

First 'proper' game I'll be playing a lot as soon as PSVR launches!

The campaign map itself is procedural - we've made loads of massive environments/levels that get thrown in a blender with lots of different mission types and other variables, and you can then proceed across the campaign map as you wish :). Can't say too much otherwise I'll get punched at work probably, but in months of testing and playing the game I've never had the same campaign experience twice.

Nice! Wasn't really aware of this yet :)

anyone used this wheel https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thrustmaster-Ferrari-Force-Feedback-Wheel/dp/B015CNQW24/ref=cm_wl_huc_item

thinking of getting that or the T80

I have the T150. It's been down to around £50 before. Once on Argos and again recently on Amazon I think. So £130 is a lot for it. Although who knows when the price drop will happen again but at least you got a few weeks to wait and see.

It's a brilliant wheel as well.

I'm gonna cancel mine I think. £350 + the camera + a move wand + a couple of games is a huge outlay especially if all goes a bit Kinect. I would rather put that money toward a Neo.

It also really bums me out that my £350 shiny new hardware needs a crusty wand from a car boot sale and camera to work properly. Pricing it at 379 or thereabout with everything brand new and ready to go would be much more enticing to me personally. I wonder how many un-clued up gamers will be caught out only buying the headset at launch and not realising they need to buy the extras for it to work right.

That said, I really hope it does well and have legs, if not, I'll buy a used bundle for half the price this time next year :P

I think I'll be cancelling my pre-order for this too.

Driveclub, Battlezone, and Rez all look very promising indeed but as I still have my move controllers gathering dust somewhere I fear for Sony's support of the headset after the release window. I'll wait and see what the quality of the display is, how capable the PS4 is at powering said display, and most importantly just how well the software support is looking six months after release.

I can see it being massive for the first few weeks then as soon as the Q4 big hitters arrive they will sit on a shelf looking nice for a few months. I mean I really ,really want to play Rez in VR but for close to four hundred quid? just too much of a risk not knowing I'd get my monies worth.

I'm keeping my pre-order 100%.

1. Plug and play VR

2. Rez

2. Thumper

3. Super Hyper Cube

And i'll probably pick up a bunch more titles like Battlezone and Rigs ...and a Neo.

I love the idea of tabletop or god mode style in VR so hope games like Diablo and Armello see patches to support it.
