I must just be really awful then as I've got the fast one with vampire but I just keep getting killed really really quickly by anything else, especially the big tank like opponents. They basically hit me with their rocket attack, then their secondary and I'm dead even if I've seen them first and started firing first with damage mode on.

I'm really old and my reflexes have long gone so don't give up. If they're hitting you with rockets then you're keeping still for too long and are far too close. Rockets travel quite slowly and are easy to avoid if you keep moving (I can never score a direct hit on anything with a rocket), it's the splash damage that the most useful and dangerous. The secret is knowing where everyone is, don't get ambushed and if damaged go to cover, heal, power mode then attack.

Megaton Rainfall is £12.99...

I should start off by saying that this is going to be a recommendation - I really like it, it's very cheap, and you should get it.

sold!

I mean bought!

I watched franks video, and I though it was very EDF too.

Any other views on Megaton Rainfall?  I'm personally enjoying it a lot.  Really getting into zipping between buildings and trying to shoot things without blowing up towerblocks behind the target.  It's a simple idea, but well worth £12.  Anyone else playing?

Anybody else struggling with GT Sporting VR mode? It starts off ok, but by the end of the race my view has rotated 90 degrees to the left. It happens every time. Pressing the usual reset view button does nothing....

Yeah, does that for me too. Only game that does now. Holding Options down resets it for a bit but then it starts to wander again.

"Luckily" the VR mode in GT is pretty pointless so it's no great loss.

I've really enjoyed the little that I have played of it. Very very mild spoiler below

Spoiler

The bit after you get superluminal flight and fly round the solar system is amazing, flying through Saturn's rings and then in close to the sun is just incredible.

It controls nicely and the sense of scale and destruction works really well.

I've just been watching that Skyrim video, it looks amazing and as you say the control options are excellent. Really really please to see the option for non-teleport movement for the the move controllers. Definitely day 1 on this, really looking forward to it as a 'big' experience, especially as I'm far too afraid to be able to play ResiVII.

Shame to hear about the Spac developer, it reviewed pretty well, although I think the one on one online competitive nature of it probably put people off (it did for me).

Any opinions on Tethered? The Divine Edition is currently £8.99 reduced from £24.99, I quite liked the demo but didn't think it did a good job of explaining the game.

I really enjoy it. It scratches that Populous itch quite nicely. The graphics have been updated for the pro, so it looks a lot nicer than the demo. Moves have also been patched in and work a treat - they allow you to get really close to the peeps.

Well worth it for 9 quid. I played it all the way through and thought it had a nice balance between ease of access and enough complexity to keep me interested, and the Peeps are charming little things. Being able to zoom right it was great.

Do games output to the TV as well as the headset when you are using VR? So other people can watch you play?

Yes

Or you can have the headset only if someone else wants to watch eastenders.

Contemplating taking the plunge here with these new sets coming out. What exactly needs buying on top of the headset? Assuming at least one camera (will any webcam do?), a couple of those pingpong end wand controllers?

It has to be the actual proper PlayStation 4 camera.

Nrw demo disc coming out. Not sure what games it has though.

Battlezone®

EVE: Valkyrie

Moss

Star Child

The Persistence

Thumper

Tiny Trax

Dino Frontier

Fantastic Contraption

Job Simulator

Raw Data

Rez Infinite

Moss and Dino Frontier seemed lovely from what I played.
