Just popped in here to recommend SuperHotVR which is out on PSVR on the 14th.

I've been into VR for years now, without a doubt SuperHotVR is my favorite overall VR game. I've played quite a few gun games but the core mechanic of 'Time moves when you move' works insanely well for this early stage of VR we are currently in as you dictate the movements and speed. If you ever feel fatigued you can just stop and take a moment to take it all in. I think it will adapt really well to PSVR, for one it is stylized graphics so it should run perfectly, the game doesn't require high end touch input either. Compared to the big budget studio games it might be rough around the edges but I'm confident that the 'magic' this game holds will shine through.

So for those that don't know, SuperHotVR is a true early VR milestone that I recommend any VR enthusiast should try and seek out.

It's out on the 19th in Europe. <_<

Oh my god , I remember now. I DID play Scavengers Oddesey when I got VR Worlds a year ago and my brain must have blanked it out because I couldnt even turn a corner without feeling unwell.  Just goes to show the whole VR legs thing as I played it to the end with no problems yesterday.

Returned to Thumper VR yesterday, it's a really really intense experience and I'm up to level 7 now. It's so close to being a great game but for me it's let down a little by the random different lengths of sections within each level, length of the levels themselves and the music. While in the demo I liked the style of the music it can get a bit samey after a while with patterns that repeat over the different levels, also you can sort of brute force your way through it as you only have to memorise short (or sometimes weirdly long) sections of each level with no really punishment for failure. I was a huge Frequency fan and I'd love to see that remade like this for VR, but I suppose the music licensing would just be too expensive to do something like that for a potentially niche audience.

Also tried out playing Wipeout with the headset on, despite the reduction in resolution it works well and basically having it on a huge screen in front of you is nice however I can't say that beyond checking it out it would be the way I would chose to play it.

After that I tried out a feature I wasn't aware of until yesterday which is the ability to watch 3D blu-rays on it. Not having a 3D TV I only had The Hobbit to test it out with and I thought it worked really really well, I could actually imagine myself watching an entire film like that, although in some action scenes the panning was a little juddery.

Star wars Battlefront is a fiver preowned at Game at the moment, and the VR mission is a free download. Its definitely worth a fiver for the VR mission alone.

Yup this is true - if only to demo off the system.

Had my first bout of VR induced nausea, playing Bound in VR with smooth camera option (really didn't like the fixed ones). Still feel pretty sick now 30mins after switching it off. Glad I only paid just over a fiver for it especially as I think it's a bit boring.

Everyone made such a fuss over Bound, but even at a fiver it seems a waste of time.  There's no skill, no gameplay, no fun, no way to lose. It's just dancing about through a weird landscape and it bores me to death.  I'm dead now, and it's that game that did it.

Did anybody take the plunge with Fantastic Contraption? Getting lots of nice feedback on Reddit....

Couldnt resisit. You need 2 moves - no dualshock support, but it looks and plays beautifully. It's really sharp, like Bound or polybius sharp. I get a really strong World Of Goo vibe with this one. Only played for an hour, but that raced by. Tracking seemed excellent and there looks like lots of content. There is a marvellous effect where you put on a helmet - a really good wow moment - I won't spoil it...

Not on PS VR but I got it with my Vive.

It's great, to a point.  It's super fun to go in there and build, and I found I was walking round my contraption rather than through it because I was totally in the world.

But it does ultimately suffer the same problem the traditional 2D flash/mobile implementations of this idea do.  That the best way to build something strong is 8 million triangles for support and building those just isn't fun after a while.

Polybius. Rush of Blood (If you have dual moves. It works with dualshock but not as fun).

I had my first go of PSVR at the Play Expo in Blackpool at the weekends, its pretty amazing really isn't it. The last time I played on VR was when I was 15 on a Virtuality machine in Great Yarmouth, it blew my mind then and this has done it again.

They were only showing Eagle Flight and the under water shark cage thing but I thought both were great. Eagle flight was pretty relaxing to be honest.

My kids aged 6 & 7 had a go too and I loved seeing the smile on the faces as the flew like eagles. Had to grab my son as he nearly fell off the seat.

Might have to sort some funds for one of these, I've already got the camera and a single move controller so just need a headset really, any good deals on the go?

Just remembered that I played another VR title, an indie game called Bloody Zombies. It was on the Rift but the guy said its coning to PSVR too.

Its a 4 player side scrolling beat em up but one of the players has a VR headset on, luckily this was me. What was ace about this was that it looked like there were the characters just running about right in front of me like they were on a table or something, the sense of depth was brilliant. I also loved that I could turn my head and look all the way down the level rather than just having a small bit in front of me.

The Rift headset felt very heavy compared to the PSVR one though, I have specs too and it was pretty tight and they were misting up by the end too. I don't know what version of the Rift I was using.

Ah I wondered how this worked in VR after watching a few people play it.  Interesting.
