Even if it was just £20, I'd still say no. It's apparently not great with the move controllers because there are no sticks. So it's better with the Aim controller, but then that still doesn't work properly when you need to do simple things like open a door.

I won't be buying it.

Shit. I was hoping dual-wielding would be enough to satisfy me until I can pick up the Farpoint bundle. Now this, along with the reported Aim issues has more or less put me off completely for now.

Is the Farpoint DLC on the store, or do you have to get it from within the game?

Just that if it's on the store I can download it now.

Obviously a bit late but as far as I can see it comes down as an update

Well had a quick dabble on Arizona Sunshine and turned it straight off again. No way am I playing it with tracking in that state!

Apparently a patch has already been submitted to Sony, so fingers crossed won't have to wait too long. First time Ive made an impulse day one purchase without waiting for reviews/feedback in god knows how long. Lesson learnt :(

Strangely a few Arizona reviews have started to trickle in quoting "Best VR shooter yet".. I must be missing something.

Granted these are generally from low-key gaming sites.

If you’re serious about PlayStation VR and love first person shooters, Arizona Sunshine is a no-brainer. Mowing down mobs of the undead is immensely satisfying with a great spread of weapons and plenty of opportunities to have some fun. The campaign is well-paced, supplying small but welcome diversions to break up the action with little morsels of story here and there. At £33, some players will naturally want more bang for their buck, but the quality of content on offer here is fantastic. With the bar set even higher than before, it will be interesting to watch how developers try to emulate and improve upon Arizona Sunshine.

Was it only received so well on the PC because it was a fairly early VR game, or has it been downgraded a lot to work on PSVR?

I think it's a combination of the two. As mentioned in my earlier post up the page on the PC it was one of the earliest 'complete' games designed for VR, so it was nice to have a short campaign to work through (good enough to play through twice which is unusal for me but it's only around 4 hours). It looked nice on a beefy PC super sampled but have read it did have performance issues for any PC lower down the chain (I'm on a 1080). But the biggest appeal of the game to me was the satisfaction of stringing together multiple headshots as well as it being a game where you can progress.

Had a play on it again last night on the PC and it still plays nicely although feels a little low budget now I've been spoiled with Farpoint and RE7. However, if you suddenly make controlling your character a pain, tracking not accurate and all kinds of graphical simplifications (not to mention pop in etc) then it won't be the same game. Also, apparently they have limited the number of zombies coming at you when you are being 'rushed' which again would take something away. Obviously I haven't played the PSVR version, but knowing what made the PC version good (most notably the accuracy of lining up shots) then it's probably good to be cautious about this conversion.

I must say, although it was fairly basic by usual FPS standards, I thought Farpoint was fucking excellent, and easily one of my top three experiences with PSVR so far.

Playing the game, with the Aim Controller, using full FPS controls and super fast camera was such fun. I absolutely loved it. So much so that I'm going to re-buy it and play through it again I think. I didn't even give co-op a chance before selling it originally, and I hear that's excellent also.

So maybe people have been spoiled by that? Dunno.

My new Aim Controller is due to arrive today, so gonna try it out later tonight hopefully.

I never bought Dick Wilde; is that worth getting? I heard it was good, if a little basic.

And Brookhaven's Aim Controller patch is due to drop in the next day or so. Is that horrifically scary? Or is it more arcadey? I could manage Until Dawn fine, but the RE7 demo took me two nights to finish because I had to keep taking the headset off to catch my breath.

I'd totally agree that Farpoint PSVR is a way better experience than Arizona Sunshine on PC. And my PC version of AS runs smooth, looks nice, plays in 360 and has perfect tracking. And I still liked Farpoint a lot more, it's just slicker all round. That's not to say Arizona isn't a fun game on PC, because I really enjoyed it...it's just a bit more basic. But I definitely think if you add tracking and aiming woes into the experience then it will simply not be the same game.

idea for multiplayer PSVR aim controller game:

you know the flashback in the terminator film where they're in the technical (the pickup with the gun on the back) racing around shooting HKs?

That. One driving, one shooting

It'd be like Quake Rally (back in the day) or Harms Way on the 360.

irony: I went looking for the specific clip on youtube, the 5 second farpoint ad from GAME played first

Spiderman VR experience is up, and it's a good job it's free as it's very content light.  It feels like a tutorial, and it's just some basic shooting galley stuff with almost no movement (and only one web swing if you were hoping for that like I was).  There's a very brief appearance from a movie bad guy, but it doesn't really do a lot and I'm pretty sure they just took the lines from the trailer for it. Honestly, there isn't really anything that makes you feel like you're Spiderman, which is a shame.  Not really anything that makes it worth a download if you ask me.

in other news, Windlands has been updated for move controller motion. Yes, it's a spider-man simulator now.

Bought Thumper, Batman VR and Statik (this is costing me a lot of money!) Thumper is brilliant, so intense and a real zone game. Batman VR is great for showing of the potential of the move controllers, haven't played that much of it though so will hold off full judgement until it's completed.

Statik I'm really really enjoying, it's really well done and I love the premise. I've done 5 of the puzzles (I think) so I'm worried that I am near the end. I really hope it did well enough for the dev to do another (much longer) one or put out some additional DLC puzzles for this one.

Also a mate lent me Star Wars Battlefront so I could have a go at the VR level which is amazing. Okay is fairly basic gameplay wise but actually felling like you are in an xwing and being able to track enemies by looking around is incredible. I really hope that SW:B2 has a lot more VR stuff in it.
