What would existing PS VR owners recommend and why?

Here They Lie. Because it's like strolling through a nightmare and at one point two animal headed men fuck a TV while a bored animal headed prostitute ignores them.

Try the demo of Here They Lie first... Chances are it will make you sick as a dog.

Because very few of us bothered with it, I feel obligated to recommend Psychonauts: Rhombus of Ruin. £14 with PS+ and a CDKeys top-up for two hours or so isn't the best value, but it gives you so much good VR in that time. I loved the ending in particular.

Quick question regarding video capture. My PS4 is set to record the previous 15 minutes by pressing Square once in the Share menu. Do it all the time in NMS.

I did that last night in SW Battlefront and it only seemed to capture about 2 mins from when I loaded the game up to the menu screen. No gameplay at all. I then tried to take another capture and the option was greyed out.

Is there anything different about how video capture works with PSVR?

Mine did the exact same thing when I tried to record the VR mission

No interest in RE - never liked any of them.

I've never been a fan of the series, the only one I've ever finished was RE4 on the Wii, even though I had it on GameCube, just didn't like the controls.

But RE7 is essential on PSVR IMO. It's the best example of a proper AAA game experience and I simply can't imagine it in any other way than in VR. I think you're missing one of the very best VR experiences if you skip it, I picked it up just as I'd heard good things about the VR side of it and I'm so very glad I did.

Hmmmm, I wonder if it's blocked by the devs themselves for some reason?

@Tezcatlipoca I struggle to link to YouTube vids on phone. But YouTube "Star Trek Bridge Crew". You're after the vid with LeVar Burton, Jeri Ryan, and Karl Urban.

I have never liked any of the RE games I've played, though. Not my sort of thing.

My top picks for PSVR would be:

Until Dawn Rush of Blood
Psychonauts (especially if you enjoyed the characters and humour of the original game)
Thumper
Rez
Wayward Sky
and if you like Pinball then Pinball FX2 VR is wonderful just to relax with at the end of a busy day but it is 'just' pinball :)
PSVR Worlds if you can get it <£20 (London Heist and Ocean Descent are good for showing off the tech)

I really do love owning and using PSVR, I think someone said it in this thread but it truly is like having your own personal theme park/ride.
How long have you bee waiting for one @Tezcatlipoca ? I ask because I remember checking a week or two ago and it seemed to be in stock at Argos and Amazon so you might have just missed out on the latest restock :(

Do you have Amazon Prime & is Prime Now available in your area? If so PSVR is in stock for Prime Now delivery and there is a £5 off £50 spend with 5OFF50 code :D

PS4 Pro is back in stock at Amazon.

I'm still not inclined to upgrade yet (although actually being able to complete The Last Guardian is appealing), but can I ask if all PSVR games get a visual improvement, simply by playing them on a PS4 Pro, or is it on a per game basis, i.e. if they've been patched to take advantage?

It varies. patched ones get a  boost, generally through supersampling or added effect (Battlezone for example is a night and day difference). Its a nominal difference for unpatched titles.

Anyway get a pro and HDR telly regardless would be my advice.

Ha ha! Now I'm getting a new telly am I?

Yeah, that's not happening. I only got my first 1080p set in 2015. Not going to be upgrading any time soon, basically until this one goes wrong.

Thanks though, it's what I expected. Has RE7 got a Pro patch do you know?

ANy RE7 improvments will be out the box. But since PsPro RE7 is 4k, you would imagine there will be some supersampling going on. My copy is still in the wrapper and not at all because I am too much of a pussy to play it
