Oh I know - Rez looks great as well, as does Battlezone. As Pete says, it's not a huge issue, as the immersion more or less negates any resolution concerns. Even in RE7 it somehow works with the overall 80's video nasty vibe.

I take it your on a stock PS4? The pro does amazing things for VR picture quality.

i think the stand out games in terms of resolution are Bound and Trackmania so far and they both get a further bump on The pro. Trackmania even runs at 120fps on a pro. That game.....that's when you know you got your VR Legs.

As for RE7 I believe its the same kinda movement as Robinson the journey. Playing is short bursts of 20-30 minutes every day or two will make you immune.

Robinson is far quicker.  That is about the only game that brings me out in the VR sweats

It makes all the difference. It goes from "aww this is awesome but I just wish it looked better" to not a problem or something you don't even think about anymore.

infact I would even say that people maybe shouldn't bother with VR unless they get the pro.

Unless your just borrowing it off a mate for a couple of weeks.

E3 this year will be the make or break for VR imo. They need a killer app that will knock peoples socks off.

Just had another little session. Did the cage dive again, and whether I'm used to it or I'd adjusted my headset/glasses a bit better I don't know, but it seemed a bit clearer.

Then I tried the Scavenger demo, which I really liked. I love how you can peer really closely at your hands and they get more detailed. But! By the time I got to the third area I was feeling slightly queasy. So I decided to call it a night, but had a quick go on the Luge...

BOAK!

I actually had to rip the headset off after about 15 seconds, so instantly did it make my stomach churn.

I'm now having a little lie down.

The luge thing didn't make me sick, just got that dropping stomach thing. It's proper shit though.

But Scavenger's Odyssey. Bugger me did that give me the churns after about 20 minutes. Hot flushes, prickly sweats, acid bile. Never again.

Sadly I seriously doubt this is going to happen. The best chance is Sony getting one of their studios to make something substantial, but it appears they seem to give even less shit about this than they did for the PS Move.

We'll have one or two cool (overpriced) game experiences and that will be it.

Dreams might be alright though.

Well dreams could be it.

Theres a few things they could do. Development is expensive so they need to sell more games to a smaller install base on VR. Maybe he best way to do that is sqying "heres a thing" but then saying "but it's even better in VR"

Maybe it's wrong of us to demand a VR exclusive.

I think things like GT Sport will do a lot to gain long term support for those who are willing to invest the money.

I've never managed to escape the VR barf factor. Most of the games I've played give me some degree of hot sweaty barrage. It saddens me.

I did but always had a weird feeling of unease instead. No major issue but it was there.

Only just discovered that you can play standard PS4 games in the headset. Anyone used that much? Could be quite handy when the TV is in use.

Theatre mode, yeah? the drop in resolution is noticable in non-VR games because you'll have played them on the telly already. and stick to medium because big is TOO big. Like craning your neck to take it all in.

I do it quite regularly when the other half wants the telly. Small or Medium screen size is best, but I've spent a fair few hours playing FFXV and Yakuza 0 in my own private cinema. Its pretty good if you ensure you set yourself in a comfortable position. Many cushions supporting the neck and head when lying down works nicely IMO.

There's a game called VrZoom Arcade up on the store as well, for free.  No idea what it is, but I'm downloading it anyway.

FOR FREE!

https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-gb/games/virzoom-arcade/cid=EP0978-CUSA07264_00-VIRZOOMPS4000000

It appears to be for use with the VirZOOM bike (sold separately), although it does say "Demo compatible with DUALSHOCK®4 controller."

Edit: I see I should have refreshed the page before replying.

Nice, I'll give it a go. I'll be able to play NMS even more now! :)

I've got the beta update and the medium sized screen is like playing on a massive TV. It's pretty clear for the size as they seem to have made it a lot sharper. Was playing Battlefield 4 on it last night and it was bloody great!

Oh and NMS on it looked fantastic.
