Agreed and cripes ignore my post just checked and you can't even order them from Amazon themselves now only from 3rd party suppliers and cheapest is 79.99 (correction that is for used! if you want new that'll be 90 quid)

EDIT - I wonder if you can order from dutch websites? Back in the day I used to order horror dvds from Freerecordshop (now gone) as you couldnt get the "european" cut of Dawn of the Dead from anywhere else. Not sure if that is a viable route now.

They're all over the place here (just like headsets and cameras). Those UK supply constraints are weird.

My guess is that with the pound tanking Sony will make more money from stock sold in Europe than in the UK so are prioritising supply in those countries.

Just picked up mine, not bad once you start getting immersed, I had a few issues trying to get it to sit right - but I am of bobble-head proportions so I expected it. Resident Evil demo was amazing! Seemed very low-res at times though and there were parts where bright lights had rendered people as just pixelated white with stubble.

Still I think I'm looking forward to trying to get this to work on PC, people seem to be doing it now without the need of it being connected to the PS4.

Overall I'm not sure, it was genuinely great at times and then a horribly pixelated mess at others.

I sold mine on Friday. Unfortunately I just missed the boat with it being worth quite a bit at CEX etc.

Ultimately I'll never forget that first night, firing up Battlezone, giggling like a loon when I appeared to be in an actual tank. Blew my mind really.

But, over time, the immersion of VR wore off and using the headset felt like I was wearing a pair of goggles rather than being present in a world. None of the games have any depth. I prefer stuff that you play endlessly like Destiny, The Division, Overwatch etc. Then again, contradicting myself, do you want to spend hours and hours with a headset on? I found PSVR didn't work well when I was sitting on my sofa about 6 feet or so away. It worked better when I was standing about 3 or 4 feet away. Also I think ultimately VR needs to be wireless. At times in Resident Evil 7 I was literally wandering across the living room getting tangled in those heavy wires. It isn't at all compatible with PS4 Pro either. Swapping out the wires to play 4k HDR games was a pain. Really bugged me that. VR games are definitely better on the Pro though.

I'll still keep an eye on PSVR. Perhaps pick up one that's properly compatible with PS4 Pro someday. VR legs is certainly a genuine thing and I got mine but there was always an element of unease at times. Not nausea, just an odd feeling that something wasn't quite right.

It really grates to read tales of people who have grown jaded with VR and sold it on already, when I'm still waiting for a chance to actually buy one at RRP. The shops in Japan sold out on day one and have never been restocked.

Don't worry. I love it as much now as I did on release.

Me too, although I could do with some new games for it. Not I've already played/completed everything, but I'd like something to really get my teeth into rather than all those short (often great) bits we've got so far. Skipping Resi 7 for now though as the idea of that kind of dread in VR isn't really appealing to me.

I don't play it as much, due to lack of new content. But there's no way I would ever sell it.  Even if nothing gets released for it ever. It will still have Rez Infinite, Driveclub , battlezone etc al.

I've nearly pressed the button on Resi a few times, but since the beginning hour was the most harrowing videogame I have ever played (VR knocks any other horror game ever into a cocked hat) I am slightly reticent to put myself through it.

You should try and give Resi a go.. it's definitely the most complete VR title so far and in terms of "dread" although it's bloody intense it's not to the point of not wanting to play. (It's not on PT fear levels).

I'm left itching to get back into it later tonight.

As for selling VR.. nope! It's here to stay in my household.

Finally had a go on this and I came away extremely impressed. I've played a fair amount with both the Oculus and Vive, and while both of those are technically superior to PSVR, the difference is pretty marginal, and the PSVR headset itself feels more comfortable on my head. I can't quite believe Batman Arkham VR is being rendered by a humble PS4. It really is a standing ovation for sony. I just wish there were more AAA titles out there or in the pipeline.

With RE7 looking brilliant I really want one now.

When are stocks going to replenished? Seems a bit crazy that there are still none available in the shops.

It's supposed to be in stock at several places today on a first come first served basis, according to the internet.

Arriving tomorrow - cheers. Was going to start Resi tonight, will hold off for a day.

Let us know your experiences. I played resi for 30 minutes last night and was dripping with sweat afterwards. Gonna swig a litre of whiskey tonight and give it another whirl! Amazing experience!
