If we're doing dungeon crawlers, can I have an updated version of Captive please?

That would so work with vr too, you use a headset to take control of your robots. *sigh* never gonna happen :(

I know EVE gets a mixed reception here but the latest upgrade for the Pro is incredible visually at least. The resolution is incredibly crisp now and the additional effects really make it pretty impressive to play. Still feels like I'm going to chuck if I roll too much though.

I do like Crystal Rift, but it does feel rather basic. Man, I'd kill for the original Eye Of The Beholder trilogy (by which I mean 1 and 2).

Equally so. I picked it up. And it is quite basic and not a lot too it. I think without the VR it would be a terrible game ^_^

But with the VR its enjoyable.

I hope it's in the 12 Days of Christmas offer or one of the Christmas sales, as I'll certainly pick it up if I see it for under £30.

It seems you have to download separate add-on VR levels.

-edit- or the download is an expansion that makes all existing levels suitable for VR use, it's a bit confusing.

Is it free?

I would not pay any more than £20 for it. The content really is pitiful.

Sadly I agree. Paid full price (well, £40) at the time of release and while I don't regret it because it blew my mind at the time, in the cold light of day the amount of content is a piss take.

The new level is quite quite nice and the Pro enhancements make it shine a little more but I couldn't help but yearn for Elite on PSVR... No VR announcement but ED is headed PS4-ward so fingers crossed.

Not yet, but could be persuaded if it looks likely we could get a group together.

I could also be persuaded, if there's a way to cross play with the Rift (which I think there is). If you go for it, message me (I don't come in here *that* regularly).

Yes, Ubisoft announced cross platform play between PSVR, Vive & Rift. Will do!

Possible Elite Dangerous for PSVR?

Frontier Games’ Elite: Dangerous [Review: 8/10] remains one of the biggest and deepest games to support VR, and we could well see it on another headset in the near future.

After a lot of speculation and a release on Xbox One, Frontier has finally confirmed that its sci-fi epic will be coming to PlayStation 4 in early 2017. Company founder and CEO, David Braben, confirmed as much on the PlayStation Blog, along with revealing a new trailer that you can see below. Everything released for the game so far, including the recent Horizons expansion, will be making its way to the console, and it will also support PS4 Pro and special DualShock 4 features.

But, let’s face it, you’re here to read about PlayStation VR support.

Elite already supports the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive on PC, but today’s announcement makes no mention of integration with Sony’s headset. We reached out to Frontier to find out more. PR and Communications Manager Michael Gapper simply told us: “We’re looking into it but we have nothing to announce for launch.”

While it’s not the confirmation we were hoping for, it’s nice to know PS VR support hasn’t been ruled out right now. You might wonder why integration wouldn’t be included, but the simple truth is that the PS4 isn’t as powerful as the PCs that can run the Rift or Vive, and adding the strains of VR support on top of an already demanding game like Elitemight prove too much for the console. We certainly hope we’re wrong, of course.

We reviewed Elite back at the launch of the Oculus Rift in March. “It’s the kind of game that makes you feel like the champion of the galaxy for landing your ship correctly and a few hours later has you blasting across the stars to track down your latest bounty,” David Jagneux wrote. “With the right cockpit and HOTAS setup, it can quickly become one of the most immersive and accurate implementations of VR to date.”

Picked up Trackmania for £16 in Sainsburys - just to try the VR modes. So far the tracks are shortish, but my word, it is sharp and beautiful in VR. No motion sickness, just a few loosing your belly moments as you flip over and under a drop, as it should be.

I got my mum (60) to play Robot Rescue at the weekend.  I had to hold her hand while she looked over the edge of the play area because she was convinced she would fall off.

One of the Vive demos is a platform on a space station, one of the first things I do with anyone in VR is to make them walk off it, you get the full range of reactions.

My mother matched yours :)
