PlayStation VR

I just finished Robinson.

Not bad.

It has a strange structure and it took some getting used to but this game will give you your VR legs, like it or not.

I can now play anything without any problems due to playing this.

I hit 3 really frustrating sections in the game that I had to retry over and over again and I even had to look up on the internet where to go on one occasion ,so from that stand point it's designed poorly.Theres no excuse for not doing what every other VR game is doing in terms of using the dual shock as your hand too.

The ending was kinda cool though.

It's the most fleshed out thing I've played in VR to date but I would definately wait for a price drop.

Ending spoiler below....

Picked up one of these a couple of days ago. Have only played demos so far.

Not particularly impressed by Rez, but then again, despite being a massive Dreamcast/Sega fan, I always thought Rez was just ok as opposed to amazing. I have a sony hmz cinema headset and have played dreamcast rez on that. much of a muchness :)

VR worlds demo gives the distinct impression of being a series of shallow demos, 4,000 yen price seems like a joke.

Driveclub surprised me. I find the graphics ok, the lighting etc is nice. I wonder what people were expecting?

Also reading this thread etc. I was worried about nausea but having spent the guts of an hour on the driveclub demo last night and another hour this morning, I didn't feel anything.

I think I may have built up a tolerance to proper vr by playing unoptimised trash on gearvr for the past year.

Likewise, no nausea whatsoever playing the Rigs demo, but I really had next to no idea what I was supposed to be doing in that game. looks nice though.

I'll be buying Drivrclub vr tomorrow when it goes on sale here (Japan).

Funny hearing people praise the robot rescue game in playroom vr. you are all aware it is basically Knack (that game the forum loves to hate) right?

I downloaded allumette but it was so boring I couldn't sit through it and turned it off :)

I was extremely interested in poolnation for vive (dont have one), but I'm not sure whether to get sportsbar vr. can't see it working without roomscale. is it ok? (only interested in how well it works as a game of pool).

Tempted to buy Until Dawn, but I can't handle PT or various gearvr horror things (most recently Face your Fears) and always just nope out of them. I find jumpscare experiences with no defense to be stressful and zero fun, moreso in vr but I'm thinking the fact that you can shoot the enemies might make it bearable :D

Same as me. I wanna relax and play not be left in suspense by some haunting soundtrack and a shitty jump scare. I've heard sports bar has bad tracking, also do you have move controllers? They are GOLD DUST yet plenty of game require them. Sports bar is one of those games.

Hustle Kings is VR if you like that kinda stuff.

Its much more bearable than all those you refer to. It's fun as well as scary/jumpy is the main thing. I tend to have a grin on my face when it makes me jump. Unlike PT which is just horrible.

VR Worlds IS A bargain at any price, seriously, it's the WiiSports of VR, if you have a  VR Headset you need to play VR Worlds, except you cant unless you have PlayStation VR, which means Oculus Rift and Vive are the EyeToy and Kinect equivalent of Motion controls and PSVR is the Nintendo Wii.

How well does it work without Move controllers?

I've just sold on my PSVR and move controllers after a few weeks of owning them. I enjoyed some of the games / experiences very much (Rez, Keep Talking, Tumble, Thumper) but ultimately feel that the restrictive play area (size) and mediocre tracking of the Move controllers stopped me from fully enjoying too many of the games and demos I tried.

i will certainly try VR version 2.0, be that on console or PC, and have high hopes for where it may eventually take gaming.

I was watching the shark demo video on VRdeo yesterday and looked back to see a fookin great white shark coming at me. I have to admit it freaked me a little and I was surprised as nothing's done that to me before. I dunno if it was because it's video, rather than a computer generated shark, but fo sure it got me.

On the subject of VR sharks, I tried the Ocean Descent Shark Encounter at the weekend. I was sat on the floor with my legs straight out in front of me, technically they'd be pointing outside of the bars of the cage. When the shark bites the front of the cage off my brain did a flip as I couldn't shake the sensation that my legs would have just been bitten off. Was pretty horrible, in a good way.

get him, @PeteBrant!

now come on everyone is entitled to their opinion even if it is wrong, curmudgeonly and anti-fun in every way possible. Even if that opinion is a mean-spirited unwarranted attack on a beautiful little freebie.

However mental it is he is entitled to it
