Just got the pro and I can't sync my move controllers to it :( They worked fine with the standard PS4, but I just can't get them to work on the pro. These are the older PS3 moves, I'm using a mini USB lead (which fits the larger connection on the move) then pressing the PlayStation buttoning the moves - they just flash forever. Is it the bigger mini USB I should be using or the tiny other connection on the move?

Both my PS3 Moves synced immediately via the regular mini USB lead. Unless your batteries need to charge for a bit, I can't think what the problem would be.

Its the larger one. Mini USB not micro.

Could be the lead, have you tried a different one?

Posted this in the Pro thread

You know how Rez was jawdropping in plain ps4 Vr.  Mine is now dislocated. Massive difference. Just heavenly.

Oh fuck off!!! really!!! FFS.....arrrggghhhhhh...I had no intention of buying a PSPRO at this stage for my REZVR device....now look what you have started!

Finished Eagle Flight story mode and unlocked the free look mode. Seems weird that you can turn instantly using the free look, e.g. you can free look over your shoulder while flying straight ahead and when you release free look, you'll instantly be flying in the direction you were looking - I'd like to know how that looks in 3rd person. I had my first quick go on multiplayer, which is fun but really lightweight, just the one 3v3 capture-the-rabbit mode. I wonder if they'll add new modes? Racing could be fun but they'd need to make the screech not kill you, maybe just stall you for a couple of seconds.

It's killing me all this talk of PS Pro enhancing PSVR. Want.

My copy of Eagle Flight just turned my, and my god it's lovely.  I've only played a bit of Free Flight so far, but that's all I really wanted from it anyway.  It's just wonderful.

My god, I really just need to stay out of this thread...with Touch releasing on  the Rift in a few weeks too this is starting to get silly expensive...one more small bit of wafer thin content...what's another £30?

Well I'm now looking at 4k TV's so swings and roundabouts ;) though my 3D bluray collection means price is a bit of an issue for a 4k 3D TV.

(I played Area X in Rez last night and didn't think it had that much of a difference, if any at all)

Well to my eyes, Area X had a definite but small increase in clarity. With the particle effects looking that bit sharper. Rez though looked night and day difference IMO. Much clearer though I did only do the boss rush, well three of them anyway.

Just tested VR with the Pro.

Playroom was noticeably crisper and so was The Heist. Continued my progress on Scavenger's Odyssey and had to rip off the headset after a few minutes due to motion sickness.

This happened last time I played it. Did look a bit better though. Will have to resume my findings at a later time, checking out BF1 next.

This increase in clarity is exactly what I would expect to see. The whole PSPRO thing reminds me very much of the super sampling debate on the Rift. To me, the difference is night and day on most things...to some others they see it as 'subtle' and some people claim not to notice at all! Quite amusing how different people see it in different ways. I knew it was no Placebo effect (super sampling) on the Rift when I tried pinball. Previously unreadable DMD dot matrix displays would suddenly be clear.

I will get a Pro at some stage, for sure. But for the time being I will wait as I'm about to drop almost £200 on Touch controllers. I'm guessing improvements will be even more pronounced in the second wave of software.

Anyone tried Bound on a Pro. It already looked pretty clean and nice on a regular PS4 I thought, but I know it's one of the titles that was properly patched so would be keen to hear impressions.

bound looked like it was better and cleaner. I think it's pretty much at the ceiling of what that display in the headset is capable of.

Bound,Trackmania, Playroom are all great adverts for the "1080p is enough" argument. It's. It perfect but it is perfect for this first step onto VR.

basically I don't think the hardware is lacking anymore to get true quality VR experience.

There are actually a lot of improvements to the lighting in Rush of Blood. I've noticed it on the inside of the large pigs mouth you go through on the second level and there is also added use of shaders on the guys jacket on the first level which you can see most prominently when you are ascending right before the game changes.

I don't know, for me it's like stepping back into the PS2 era. Not necessarily a bad thing, but once we have the PSVR2 or PSVR3 with crispy HDR 4k/8k screens in a few years and then look back on what we have now, it'll be like looking back on that time we saw the original Gran Turismo demo in a shopwindow and believing it couldn't get any more photorealistic than that.

Someone on here mentioned that The Gamecollection were selling Trackmania Turbo via their ebay outlet so I ordered it after being wowed by the demo....shame they sent Fallout 4 instead though.

Same for me. And eBay shows I've ordered fallout 4 now rather TBH trackmania. Very odd!

Ok - the pinhole reset doesn't work either. Is it the larger connection I should be using or the smaller one?

Yep tried an alternate lead - the larger one. You just press the ps button on the controller once - right?

That should do it, yeah. Tried shutting the PS4 down and turning it back on with the PS button on the Move?

Just gave Robinson a go.

im on Pro of course but I wasn't too impressed with the visuals overall. I think they on par with Driveclub , or a slightly upscaled Driveclub if I'm honest.

I can see how people are getting motion sick as it does some strange things movement wise.

The left stick controls like normal first person movement and the right stick turns in quick segments. If you walk forward and look left or right then you start walking more towards that direction. That slight movement is a bit strange as you expect to just look left and right and not be sliding towards what your looking at.

If you go into the game and treat it like a robot walking around itll help yourself ease into it. Look at where you want to go and just slowly press forward. Eventually you will get more comfortable with it.

The biggest downside is that the hand is glued to the headset. This is the first game I've played where you don't have free movement of your in game hand and the tool your holding. From that perspective it feels like an old fashioned VR game (if that's possible)

I have to say that even before going into Robinson I felt Crytek had never ever made a good game. So far from the very early bits I've seen it feels a little lacking in personality just like Farcry or the Crysis series.

Still very early on but it seems like a missed opportunity with the controls as they are and the potential of the Pro console.

This, occassionally my move controllers just won't sync. I then have to close the PS4 completely and restart using the Move controller, has always worked for me.
