Drive Club.... Meh. It is potentially a miniscule amount nicer. I found i didn't have to lean forwards to read the text on the dash but it's a very very minor improvement if any and is probably placebo. Has this definitely been patched? I've played Rush of Blood, Thumper and Rez so far and they all look a noticeable amount clearer. Driveclub not so much!

I guess that's sadly pretty much inline with expectations given that neither Evo (for obvious reasons) or Sony had devoted any time into any specific Pro improvements.. a real missed opportunity though :(

Five playroom a go because you can see the difference right away due to it being more simple and stylistic.

i no longer what a higher res screen , I think 1080 is just fine for the next 2-3 years.

Giving this a go now. Will report back!

Just had a quick blast. Robot rescue is still gorgeous but I don't think it looks any better than on normal ps4. Maybe a very very minor difference but this always appeared to render in native headset res to me. I think the biggest differences you're going to see are in vr games which have increased the res or added super sampling.

I think Robot Rescue looks quite a bit better. Like it's all more in focus.

In fact, everything like text etc on most games I've tried looks that little bit more smooth. Don't think it's placebo...

also, I may be losing my mind but is there more vegetation and more fish etc in the Ocean's Descent stuff in VR Worlds?!

edit: def losing my mind. :D

The difference in Playroom is huge IMO.

I just tried Trackmania demo in VR and on a pro it runs at 120 fps.

from an image quality perspective it surpasses what I even thought 1080p in your face could look like.

definately a worthwhile  upgrade. It puts PSVR where it needs to be in terms of image quality. Now games can look as they do when someone shows you a promo video of what they look like.

Looking at a HDMI splitter to save cable swapping, something like this.

Would output the Pro to the splitter then one HDMI straight to the AV receiver, the other HDMI to the VR box, then from box to different input on AV receiver.

(Receiver has 8 HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 inputs)

Don't think Pro makes a massive massive difference.

There's definitely a bit of an improvement, but not to everything. Kitchen is obvs still a jagfest (a shit scary one).

Hopeful that future titles will take advantage of the increased power.

As an FYI to other Disney fans or parents (or both): the LittleStar video app now includes a little Disney travel promo that I know my girls will freak out over.

Just thought I'd mention because it seems so hard to navigate. And, side note, I have no idea why but it is always really poor streaming on there for me. Anyone else?

Because it doesn't pass through HDR unfortunately.

Yep, this is pissing me off. Pro + PSVR = no HDR but is still 4k. Pro with no PSVR = HDR + 4k. It's a bit retarded.

But anyway, Pro benefits VR games. RIGS is noticeably clearer. Looks quite well now.

Just got the pro and I can't sync my move controllers to it :( They worked fine with the standard PS4, but I just can't get them to work on the pro. These are the older PS3 moves, I'm using a mini USB lead (which fits the larger connection on the move) then pressing the PlayStation buttoning the moves - they just flash forever. Is it the bigger mini USB I should be using or the tiny other connection on the move?

Played a bit of bound last night as I seen it had been patched, hoped it was the camera that had been fixed but alas no.  However at one point I accidently got the character and camera in such a position that she was literally inches from my face, standing right there before me, it was very weird.  As you may know the character is sot of masked, I put my face into the mask of the character and it properly shit me up to see you could then see a black face under that mask.

I love the bits in Robot Rescue where your little guy would end up close to you as he traversed a platform up around your head.

Hoping for more 3rd person character control that allows that sort of stuff.  The first person stuff is the obvious choice for VR, but I really think 3rd person has a whole lot to offer as well.

Admit it, you tried to make out with her.
