Anyone picking up the Brookhaven Experiment? It's up on the store now, £14.99.

Yes, I couldn't resist the chance to earn manly points but it's looking like my first PSVR flop so far.

The first three stages aren't scary or much fun. All you do is stand on the spot and wait for things to shamble towards you from all directions. The aiming doesn't feel as reliable as Rush of Blood's either.

Buyer's remorse at 90% but there remains the hope of it getting better because of reviews like this 8/10 one for the Vive version.

As you can see, though, my first impressions all echo the negative bullet points at the top.

On the plus side, it must be impossible to get motion sickness with this one.

Can you look around without flying in that direction?

Not really that's the only limitation given that where you look actually directs your flight.. but it does allow for some really tight and precise manoeuvrability.

Totally bummed out by Eagle Flight. I thought the head turning would be quite gentle, but you need some quite extreme head turns at times and my neck can't take it. I broke it in a motorcycle accident a few years ago and suffer with bad neck pain, and this game is really hurting it :(

Shame you can't gift games to other people as I'd happily give it away.

I do wonder if those positive reviews are just because there isn't much comparable on the Vive.. no Rush of Blood or London Heist for a start.

... not that I have much knowledge as to what is/isn't available on Vive.

I don't have the game but think I remember someone mentioned that holding a certain button gave you free looking then snaps back on release.

That sounds promising. My copy still hasn't turned up, but I really only want it to fly about and explore. I'm not fussed about races and things. A free look is pretty much top of my wish list.

Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity? Having it set to max may help a bit

Brookhaven seems OK. It suffers from the lack of roomscale, and I'd be wary about giving it as a first VR experience to people as it's button-heavy. But I found it mildly scary, especially when you're mobbed, and slightly more entertaining to play with some of the weapons unlocked. I dunno. For 14 quid.... yeah. It's OK.

Eagle Flight is very hard on the neck, but that's a great tip about Free Look, thanks.

Rigs comparison:

Worth taking with a pinch of salt:

"Just installed my PS Pro and tried a bit of VR Worlds... day and night difference folks!
The image is much sharper and more clear."

Mentioned earlier, but I've got zero buyers remorse with this, I know i'm late to VR , in not owning a PC (go figure with an avatar like mine) but this is like a new era of gaming for me; as big as playing Ridge Racer on the PS1 or Mario on the N64. Sure I can't play it for hours like I would Bloodborne, but for losing yourself in the moment and actually being immersed INSIDE a game world for a half hour; it's a stunning experience. I still haven't got to experience the best of REZ yet. I can't wait to see where all this goes.

So I caved on Tethered and bought it on the weekend, not really played it much but it seems very neat, definitely getting a Black and White vibe from it. Then I played the demo of Trackmania, oh yes...bought.... And now I've just gone and bought Eagle Flight too, cos I expect the kids will enjoy it too... I've spent WAAAAAY too much on this.

"What's this?"

"It's a lump of coal"

"But..."

"You were naughty,  deal with it, now go and tidy your room while I play my new game!"

Rez was amazing before I played it in VR. Now it's just beyond my capacity to explain how awesome it is. Cannot wait to dive back in.

* grumbles about having to feed myself to stay alive *

My PSVR is essentially a REZVR machine at the moment....and there's nothing wrong with that, what a glorious bastard Rez is :)

That second level on Trackmania plays havoc with my stomach. Not queasiness or anything, but a proper speed bump flutter. Love it.

I've got to try that... But work init :( did just pick up my PS4 Pro though. Something for the weekend :) . Now all I need is that 2TB Firecuda to turn up...

Someone on here mentioned that The Gamecollection were selling Trackmania Turbo via their ebay outlet so I ordered it after being wowed by the demo....shame they sent Fallout 4 instead though.

That was me. I did get Trackmania sent to me though. Brand new and sealed with Dutch / French writing on the back.

I've ordered it too, Dutch version, not received it yet though.

Mine arrived first thing this morning. Hypocrite that I am, I'm picking up a Pro later so by the time I get a go on Trackmania it'll be 5am going by the rather lengthy set up process.

Just had a go of rush of blood on PS4 Pro. It definitely has an improvement in clarity. I would say it's akin to it being rendered at native headset res as I had a feeling it was being upscaled previously. It's not mind blowing but it is there. It first hit me when the dude is talking to you at the start of the level, he was far more solid and less jaggy. It's a nice little bump in clarity, nothing spectacular but it's enough for me for now.

Gonna try driveclub once I've finished work
