Knack, Crash or Tearaway - what a barren wasteland of drivel the platform genre is outside of Nintendo and at a push Rare :(

Rubbish.

Splelunky, Super Meat Boy, Rayman, Puppeteer, Shovel Knight, Megaman off the top of my head. And that's not to even mention the Metroidvanias out there...

All good games and my point was badly made, I meant ripe for VR  so the 3D platform game I guess!? - mirrors edge likely would work well tho even if I'm not a fan of it!

Ape Escape would be pretty good - the "find and rescue" concept is already kind of there with the Playroom's Robot Rescue, but it would be a "find and capture" setup instead, where you're pursuing the apes and maybe having point-and-shoot gadgets that use Move. :)

Jumping Flash VR. It has to happen, just like Wipeout VR has to happen.

Try Windlands in the meantime! :D

I think mirror's edge would be tricky in VR, all that really fast movement / turning would be tricky for most to deal with.  And all those first person animation, like where the camera moves while hopping small objects, crouching under vents, avoiding attacks in combat... Oh man.  Those will result in people falling over, the sensation is bizarre.

Really disappointed in sportsbar VR, the move controllers just don't work properly with it, the control scheme seems a mess as well. Someone tell me I'm doing it wrong?

4ft.

I just stuck a dinning chair there, and using hulk movement, I won a frame against an easy AI

And the jumpiness is completely eradicated

Darts is whack though.

Takes a while getting used to it. Make sure your feet stay where they should and get used to hulk move.

Need to organise six player online games to make it a proper laugh though.

Hold both thumb buttons to hulk. You pull yourself around the room. Needed to line up shots.

Think keeping your feet in the markers is the most important bit as that'll not mess with the tracking.

Ah ok, I only pressed one button.  That makes sense as transporting around meant I was having to do lots of turning and moving, sometimes I didn even realise I had my back to the camera.

I believe thou that most of you are waiting for the information about PSVR upgrade. We are rendering twice as many pixels than on regular PS4 in VR and adding extra effects on top of that. This makes our game super sharp, literally hitting the display resolution of PSVR headset.

I'll be the judge of that - currently in London to play a shitload of games (including Bound I believe) on PS4 Pro and PSVR at a PlayStation event :)

Be very interested to hear your thoughts on the Pro. I won't be biting soon, as the Rift is my primary VR device and I've been very pleasantly surprised by the stable framerates. So I will await a price drop, but from my Rift experience I do know super sampling is a beautiful thing!

COD:IW Jackal Assault VR will be free for every PS4 owner according to Activision. You don't even need to own the full game!

oh yeah, Nov 4th

Wow really?

cool if true!

....and I thought Bound had very decent image quality on PSVR so it's quite surprising to hear it can be much better.

parts of Rigs looked super crisp. I mean the pictures for the tutorial for example, that's a really really nice clean looking texture, the best I've seen in the headset. If we can get the games to render to that quality it'll be quite an upgrade.
