Doesn't address my issue which is I have left drift in games. I can say that every single game of Thumper (about 30-45mins session) has ended with me at 45 degrees to the left of which I started. It never moves past a certain point, and it's a small annoyance, but it's an annoyance non-the-less. I'm suspecting faulty headset gyro's but I don't have enough knowledge yet to know if a new unit would be the fix.

Nah, that just sounds like the typical left drift issue many have. Playing RIGS seated does exactly that for me.

You can, just put a cheap Behringer headphone amp between the unit and the headphones. I also have AKGs, the K240 mk Ii and the K712 Pro. Great stuff.

Something like this for example: http://www.dv247.com/headphones/behringer-amp800-miniamp-ultra-compact-stereo-headphone-amplifier--34071

Yeah, I was thinking of adding in a headphone amp, but considering that the one annoyance of the unit is being snagged up with cables, adding yet more cable (and box on the end of it) to the mix wasn't that appealing - particularly as at maximum volume I do find the 240s to be just about right.

So my seven year old nephew came over today, and he knew I had one because his dad told him about having a go of Batman when he was last over.  He's really into super heroes in general so he asked if he could have a go.  I thought fuck it, he'd be fine as long as I'm there and I only show his certain bits (I asked his dad in case he had any objections).

If there was any doubt in my mind this is something special, seeing him open mouthed, excitedly pointing at things and going "look! there's the bat signal" and such, talking as if everything was there and completely forgetting that the things he was getting excited about werent actually there certainly made me think so.  I went through the bit with him where you suit up and go into the Batcave and seeing the smile on his face at that point....he said he was pretty sure that's the closest he's going to get to actually feeling like he is Batman.  I think my favourite thing was him forgetting that things werent real and he couldnt actually touch anything - several times he tries to grab stuff with his hands, including the railing in front of you at the start, which drew a big "woah!" when he realised you could lean over it.

I was surprised it actually fit on his head ok.  At first, it felt a bit loose, but I was leaving the headband on quite high - lowering it made it loads more steady and he said it was fine comfort wise.  He didnt feel a bit of nausea either, which I was quite proud of.

What the fuck is it with Until Dawn? I thought I'd give it a go. Alone, at 2am, but hey. Double Moves. On the third level, I think.

It's such a little twat of a game. Empowers you. Makes you think you're doing fine. Then fucks you up. Little shit, with all its shitty little tactics. The first couple of times I was like - yeah, I fucking got you. Fuck off. The third time I actually, genuinely, fell off my chair. :(

Horrible little twat of a game.

I am so weak.

I have to say I'm impressed. I hooked up and set up everything this morning and in about 15 minutes I was up and running. I even managed to get most cables out of view with only the twin VR headset connection stuff poking out. Not too bad at all!

The thing is proper amazing, the demo I had earlier in Media Markt was rather stationary (a London Heist shootout with badly calibrated Move controllers), but now I put on Thumper and got sucked right in. Really intense, incredible. While the technology feels young (and a bit rough in places), once you're absorbed in the game the experience of actually being there is immense.

While I don't feel any motion sickness or nausea, my eyes do feel a bit funny like after watching a 3D movie. But I guess that's just a matter of training.
