Sony at least seem to have the supply chain working when it comes to the Headset. While they are hard to get hold of supply does seem constant, not some huge gap until the next batch. Shame about Move though, pretty 'happy' in the end to get some off Amazon for 'only' £10 than RRP.

What's that, you want to know if Wayward Sky is any good, but you've only got five minutes to spare?

Good news!

(only showing footage from the opening stage, so you don't have to worry about spoilers)

I love Until Dawn. The jump scares have got me a few times but I'm pretty used to VR so if I wasn't I would expect more.Being on rails and quick paced it rarely has the time to build tension, but when it does it's effective. The important thing though is apart from the jumps and atmosphere it's actually a good game.

So, has anybody managed to eliminate the Left Shift™?

Tonight I've tried the camera above and below the TV with exactly the same result. Recalibration tommorow, and then messing around with lights, but it feels unfixable at the moment.

I would love to know if it's software, hardware setup, or a general fault in hardware that affects some headsets and not others.

Have you tried completely powering off the PS4 and unplugging it (ie. not putting it in rest mode) and then restarting it? This has helped with a number of people, it seems that there's some kind of rest mode bug.

Just seen you can use the mic to hear room noise. So you aren't cut out from your room when you have headphones on.

Settings - devices - audio devices - Sidetone

Edit: option only appears if psvr is on.

People on Reddit have said that unplugging and replugging in the camera helps with tracking issues.

Haven't tried that yet, so will try that!

Latest games are available now, no demos and not exactly cheap:

Tethered - £22.50

Windlands - £32.50

Cool I'll check them out.

i put the rigs demo on today. It's crazy what they managed to get out of the ps4 in terms of image quality. Like at the start when it's running you through things with picture in front of you. They are much cleaner images than the headset should allow. Just goes to show if you do it right....

I just went all in and started running around, I have no idea how to play it or what the point is but it's clear to me that I'm building up quite a tolerance to motion in VR.

i did have it on the comfort setting though. Looks great, just wish it was a game rather than multiplayer thing.

That Windlands price is utter bollocks. It's £14.99 on Steam (and I think the same on the Oculus store) and is worth that. I know PC gaming is cheaper (which is a reservation I had about PSVR...software cost, as I'm used to lots of bargains on the Rift) but I simply cannot see why Windlands should be more than twice the price of the PC version. Mental.

Tethered is brilliant - well worth the dosh.i put some brief impressions in the Battlezone thread:

Tethered is a joy. It looks beautiful, maybe only second to Bound - it's crisp, colourful and has an amazing sense of depth. Only did the tutorial level, but I loved every second. It's an easy recommendation, even on just the 30 mins or so I played.

What about the save system? Just read a review where they say a level can take anything from 30-60minutes, but you can't save mid-level. Can you report back when you have played more of it? Cheers

RIGS has a full singleplayer. Basically you hire various Al pilots who are very decent. You then play various league and cup matches unlocking new mechs, clothing and pilots as you go.

In the absence of demos I've pretty much decided I'm not buying anything for more than £15. And even with a demo, I'm loathe to pay over £30. No doubt there'll be plenty of discounting of the launch games like EVE once second hand copies start hitting CEX or when initial sales figures prove deservedly underwhelming at £55.

Slow hand clap for the Windlands developers for launching at £32.49 despite having advertised a £19.99 price only a week ago on Reddit and their own website, 'barring minor changes'. It's extremely greedy price gouging, which will ultimately be self-defeating and result in well deserved fuck-all sales. 'Durrrrr, derp, why no one buy our game?'

Boneheaded prices in full:

Eve Valkyrie £54.99

Superhypercube £24.99

Windlands £32.49

Unfortunately these devs are probably too clueless to think about how much more money they would make if they were priced at the following:

Eve: £39.99

Superhypercube: £15.49

Windlands: £19.99

Seriously, Eve and Hypercube would be doing so, so, so much better. Apparently Hypercube has a world online leaderboard that's barely into the hundreds at present. Yet I bet Batman has already sold 100k units (assuming there are that many PSVRs in the wild).

Revisited a few of the demos last night and the standout was Harmonix VR. First time I played it I didn't have my Move controllers connected, so I missed the Easel level. And it's amazing. Proper 3D drawing with a selection of brushes and stuff, which you can then pick up and move around with your other hand. Loved it, and it seems like another one of those things you just want to show people.

Up to level 5 on Thumper and it's so intense. Love it.
